The Sr. Manager, Colleague Communications and Engagement, Corporate Affairs and People Experience (Human Resources), will work in close partnership with the Director, Colleague Communications and Engagement, Enabling Functions, to provide internal communications guidance and support - ensuring correct messaging of programs, processes, and initiatives in alignment with Corporate Affairs and People Experience (PX) priorities and strategies.
This includes partnering with Corporate Affairs and People Experience teams in strategic planning, launching, and communicating of programs, and strategies aligned with the business in a manner that is cohesive, effective, and when applicable – fun for colleagues. The Sr. Manager, Colleague Communications and Engagement, Corporate Affairs and People Experience will be expected to counsel senior leaders, provide guidance to managers and colleagues while driving execution of organization initiatives.
In this role, the Sr. Manager, Colleague Communications and Engagement, Corporate Affairs and People Experience will be part of a team that ensures processes and programs are strategically implemented and communicated in an effective and consistent manner.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
The Sr. Manager, Colleague Communications and Engagement, will work in close partnership with Corporate Affairs and People Experience organizations to ensure programs are delivered and aligned with business strategies and priorities.
Support the Director, Colleague Communications and Engagement, Enabling Functions in the development and execution of internal communications and colleague engagement strategies.
Develop and edit content for internal communications utilizing PfizerWorld, Yammer and/or Teams, newsletters, e-signs, leader communications, FAQs, and other creative modes of messaging to ensure colleagues are kept informed and engaged.
Help develop messages, announcements, events, presentations, and other communication vehicles to drive engagement around Pfizer’s Purpose Blueprint and company values.
Develop creative solutions and support senior leaders in building their skills to effectively drive colleague communications and engagement.
Help develop initiatives that will help unleash the power of our people and ensure a positive and inclusive work environment and experience for all colleagues.
Support any change management strategy developing proactive communication strategies focused to engage all levels of the organization.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
BA/BS in Communications or related field required
Minimum eight years of Communications experience; knowledge of Corporate Affairs and/or Human Resources-related competencies a plus
Must be a creative and strategic thinker with a talent for developing communications plans and initiatives that drive colleague engagement and enhance their experience
Must be experienced in supporting and coaching leadership
Solid expertise in communications core competencies with experience in improving processes
Experience in other aspects of corporate communications including media relations, crisis management and executive positioning
Commitment to editorial excellence – writing, editing, and proofreading skills as well as journalistic ability to source stories
Demonstrated ability to work in a matrix team environment
Ability to handle multiple priorities and respond back in a timely manner
Project management, facilitation, and problem-solving skills required along with strong process skills. Any type of continuous improvement experiences a plus
A strong sense of business ethics including the ability to appropriately handle confidential information
Ability to challenge a leader’s perspective when it is in the best interest of Pfizer
Ability to execute initiatives in a timely manner with high quality
Ability to learn and understand the business and is motivated to continue learning
Ability to analyze information and provide guidance and solutions
Ability to take the complex and make it simple to understand
Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.
