Sr. Associate – Security Consulting position within the Security Consulting & Testing team will:

  • Engage with business and technology teams to secure digital solution projects globally

  • Influence business and technology project teams to identify, evaluate, design, and implement technology solutions that are secure

  • Steer the business in making risk-based decisions based on risk tolerance, potential impact, cost and mitigating controls

The position is an individual contributor role with leadership and engagement with cross functional internal colleagues and external partners and reports to the Security Consulting Manager within the GIS organization.

How You Will Achieve It

  • Provides security representation to business and technology solution projects in support of the security consultancy services to ensure secure outcomes

  • Implement innovative and advanced new concepts to solve business problems securely

  • Support and presents recommendations and decisions to project teams and is accountable for delivering secure outcomes based on standard Pfizer solutions

  • Engages on multiple, concurrent, projects meeting project timelines and delivering defined results

  • Research products and vendor capabilities and external security landscape, especially cloud service providers, offerings, and controls

  • The analyst must be able to work well with a team, including cross-unit and cross-divisional teams, and must be able to maintain poise and composure in difficult situations, with a professional attitude at all times

Qualifications

Must-Have

  • BA/BS degree required

  • 3+ years of information and cybersecurity related experience

  • Strong understanding of cloud services and solutions, operating systems, network protocols, virtualization, and application development

  • Strong understanding of industry frameworks and best practices: Cloud Security Alliance [(CSA), NIST, SANS, CIS]

  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to write and verbally articulate industry terminology to interact at a technical level, management level and senior executive level

  • Proven track record in project planning, execution and delivering results with multiple projects concurrently

  • Ability to proactively solve complex problems both individually and as part of a team

  • Ability to set and manage expectations with key stakeholders and team members

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong ability to prioritize and execute with minimal direction or oversight

  • 2-3 years of experience influencing internal and external resources

  • Experience in IoT and emerging technology assessments

NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS

  • Domestic and International travel of 10% (as required).
