ROLE SUMMARY
The drive for fast and impactful results, coupled with a customer obsession make you a fantastic candidate to lead Customer Engagement & Activation in Digital Health at Pfizer. Strong digital leadership skills and a proven track record in commercializing and marketing digital health products will be vital for this role. Above all, the Digital Health Customer Engagement & Activation Lead will be excited about our mission to provide digital health and medicine products that address unmet needs and improve patient outcomes.
The Customer Engagement and Activation Lead and their team will establish and grow the digital marketing, engagement, new product introduction, and launch capabilities within Digital Health, directly supervising leadership and team members.
The candidate will initially lead and have accountability for: engagement and go-to-market strategy, Digital product market introduction, digital marketing, and be on point for revenue generation strategies including DTC and B2B in partnership with our head of digital health and medicines. Given our desire to also amplify or core strategies and disease areas, the Customer Engagement & Activation Lead will collaborate closely with peers in our TA-aligned business units globally, regionally, and locally.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Commercialization & Marketing
Create the overarching commercialization and go-to-market strategy for Digital Health and lead the team responsible for the execution of that strategy
Partner with Digital Health Product Managers to define product-specific commercialization and go-to-market strategies and tactics in line with the overall Pfizer Digital Health strategy
Develop the value proposition and product positioning strategy to prepare for product launch
Shape revenue models, including customer definition and sources of direct revenue (from multiple sources) and indirect revenue (from lift to other Pfizer products); coordinate with stakeholder outside of Pfizer Digital Health to align on how these revenues will be attributed
Define the overall sales strategy for each product and partner with relevant stakeholders outside of Pfizer Digital Health to create actionable sales strategy activation plans
Drive the marketing strategy for Digital Health products, including brand & campaign management, insights-based messaging, omnichannel marketing, creative asset deployment, marketing analytics, and promo content enablement
Partner with existing sales teams to incorporate Digital Health products into their product portfolio, including providing necessary product training
Leverage other Pfizer teams to segment customers and create channel strategies; define contracting, pricing, and reimbursement strategies; and interpret competitive insights to make GTM decisions
Build the Digital Health-specific commercialization and GTM capabilities needed to successfully bring digital health, medicine, and algorithm products to market
Forge strong internal relationships with stakeholders in functions that own commercialization and GTM capabilities that Digital Health will need to utilize
Customer Experience & Success
Create a compelling customer experience vision and strategy and collaborate with functions within Digital Health and across Pfizer to deliver; in this context, customers may include patients, providers, provider organizations, employers, and others
Define and implement customer success strategies and tactics to ensure that customers achieve distinctive outcomes while using Pfizer’s digital health and medicine products
Develop the infrastructure necessary to provide ongoing customer support to users of Digital Health products
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
15+ years of experience, with 6+ years of marketing focus, including 2+ years owning marketing channels and 2+years leading a marketing team
Experience working in a fast-growing health-focused companies, preferably taking a product from concept to launch
Experience in B2B and D2C marketing environments strongly desired
Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams through setting a common vision and purpose, influence and persuasion
An absolute commitment to adherence to all applicable compliance rules and regulations
Demonstrated ability to effectively lead others through times of change
Experience with the US market is highly preferred
Bachelor's degree required; MBA or other advanced degree preferred
Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience in a high-growth environment, taking products from inception to launch
Experience commercializing and/or marketing software as a medical device (SaMD) products
Strong understanding of the internal and external data ecosystem associated with healthcare and life sciences
Experience implementing emerging technologies in the pharmaceutical industry
Additional consideration will be given to individuals who, in addition to the above, have regulated medical device or digital healthcare industry, or related experience (e.g., FDA submission processes)
PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
Extensive computer use, ability to work at a rapid pace, in a virtual environment.
NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS
Some Travel will be required as part of this role. Expectations around travel will vary but you will need to be capable of travel within the region and to other regions.
This role may on occasion require physical or virtual participation on a weekend, holiday, or after normal business hours.
