Role Summary

The Network Strategy & Analytics Team defines long-term PGS Site Capacities and Footprint. Reporting to the Network Strategy Data Engineering & Architecture Lead for Pfizer Global Supply (PGS) the Sr Manager, Strategic Planning role will be part of a team of colleagues whose responsibilities are to design, develop and support data engineering and architecture initiatives for the Network Strategy & Analytics organization.

PGS is transforming how it works to ensure our manufacturing network is prepared to meet the challenges of an evolving industry and the needs of all our stakeholders. This role is critical to help enable PGS to continue adapting how it delivers on its Fundamental Value Proposition of quality/compliance, cost/cash/value and supply reliability noting compromising on quality / compliance / safety is not an option.

Role Responsibilities
  • Support relevant strategic development through data engineering and analytics

  • Partner with Strategy and Data Science Leads for Network Strategy through data engineering and analytics

  • Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize analytical efficiency and quality

  • Interpret data, analyze results using data analysis techniques and provide readouts through visualizations, presentations, reports, etc.

  • Maintain a robust and constantly evolving set of master data standards and content to support both current and future Network Strategy initiatives

  • Filter and “clean” data by reviewing and maintaining the Network Strategy & Analytics environment

  • Collaborate with PGS Master Data team to ensure ongoing alignment between the Network Strategy & Analytics environment and the routine business systems in PGS

  • Partner with Pfizer Digital to facilitate leveraging of current Digital Tools as well as proactively being aware of future Digital initiatives and how best to integrate them into the Network Strategy & Analytics team

  • Locate and define new process improvement opportunities

  • Incorporate competitive intelligence as input into the overall analytics strategy for assigned strategic studies

Qualifications

Must Have

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • Candidates should have at least 10 years of experience in the Pharma Industry and/or years of related proven working experience as a data analyst or business data analyst

  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy

  • Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques

  • Robust troubleshooting experience in such areas as analytics, database design, programming and master data

  • Adept at querying and blending disparate data together to provide a unified and focused view of information to the Business

  • Database Experience such as: Oracle, SQL Server, Amazon Redshift, Snowflake, etc.

  • Programming Knowledge such as: Python, VBA, Java, C, etc.

  • Skilled in MS Office: Excel, MS Access, PowerPoint

Nice-to-Have
  • BS in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management or Statistics

  • Master's degree

  • Experience in Application Development

  • ETL Tool Experience: Alteryx, Dataiku, Talend, etc.

  • Functional knowledge of Network Strategy, Supply Chain, Manufacturing and Finance
