VelocImmune (VI) Next is a technology development group at Regeneron focused on engineering and discovery of novel protein, gene, and cellular therapies. We are seeking a motivated, highly organized researcher to build and support our cell therapy and antigen discovery pipelines. This is an opportunity for a researcher with strong molecular and immunology skills to contribute to the development of industry-leading technologies and medicines.

As a Researcher within the VI next team, a typical day might include:

  • Conducting and supporting experiments, independently and collaboratively, investigating novel antibody and cell-based therapeutics.

  • In vitro analysis and screening of candidate engineered cellular therapies in immunoassays, including flow cytometry, ELISA/EliSpot, MSD, cytoxicity, and activation assays.

  • Maintaining, manipulating and analyzing of mammalian cells, including primary cells, using Crispr/Cas9, transfection, and viral vectors.

  • Assisting in the development and analysis of mouse models for engineered cell therapies.

  • Supporting testing of candidate therapeutics in vivo (mouse).

  • Constructing DNA vectors, viral vectors, and cell-lines for in vitro and in vivo studies of candidate therapeutics from the VelocImmune and VelociT pipelines.

  • Careful, thorough, and timely record keeping, data summarization, and presentation of results in formal and informal settings.

To be considered for this opportunity, you must have a minimum of Bachelors Degree with 2+ Years experience or MS + 0 years experience in Molecular Biology, Biomedical engineering, or relevant program. Strong skills and experience in mammalian cell culture is essential, including transfection, viral vectors, and making stable lines. Experience in developing and conducting high-throughput (96- or 384- well plate) bioassays. Experience with multi-parameter flow cytometry and other immune assays is a major plus. Experience with mouse handling and in vivo studies is required. Knowledge and skills in molecular biology and cloning, including vector construction, PCR, and extraction/analysis of DNA, RNA, and proteins is a plus. Ability and desire to design experiments, problem-solve, and troubleshoot independently. Ideas and independent thinking are strongly encouraged.
