The Site Planning Team Leader position reports to the Senior Manager/TL Supply Chain Planning in Supply Chain Operations (SCO) and supports the Kalamazoo site. The role has two primary parts. The first is to function as a Site Planner for specific site planning activities. The second is to serve as a Team Leader providing administrative leadership and technical direction to the Site Planner Team.


Site Planning/TL responsibilities include:

  • Facilitate relationship between Site Planning Team and Network Planning Team

  • Generate, analyze, and communicate MSA metrics

  • Interact with multiple plant departments to ensure that schedule attainment and inventory goals are met

  • Support new product launches, product transfers and change projects

  • HOSuN Redeployment - Lead Site Planning Team

  • Site Planner for determined portfolio

Directly manage team of 8 Site Planners, responsibilities include:

  • Establish team and individual objectives

  • Assure IDP’s for all direct reports and conduct mid-year and final performance reviews for all direct reports

  • Conduct team meetings and 1:1s

  • Identify and implement opportunities for process optimization and/or standardization and simplification

  • Provide recognition and constructive feedback as appropriate

  • Bachelors degree in Supply Chain, Business or Related Fields + 3-5 years related experience in Supply Chain, Quality and/or Site Operations

  • Associate Degree + 5-8 years relevant experience in Supply Chain, Quality and/or Site Operations

  • HS/GED + 10 years relevant experience in Supply Chain, Quality and/or Site Operations

  • Demonstrated skills with ERP systems; SAP (APO, ECC)

  • Strong and Practical leader with proven track record of achievement in implementing change

  • Excellent analytical skills, including strategic thinking, ability to frame problems and opportunities using supporting data, problem solving and measuring impact

  • Demonstrated leadership skills, ability to lead change and influence without direct authority

  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills with the ability to share at all levels of the organization

  • Provide solutions to a wide range of difficult/complex problems. May refer to precedents and policies. Able to gather, analyze and interpret information and identify cause and effect relationships. Solutions are imaginative, practical, thorough, and in line with organizational objectives. Able to adapt and respond positively to situations and people in order to meet changing work unit priorities.

  • Networking & collaboration: Build and maintain successful working relationship with others. Appreciate diversity of others

  • Oral and written communication skills to communicate plans, statuses and metrics to leadership and shop floor.

  • Complete understanding and wide application of industry, functional and Pfizer-specific supply planning principles, theories, concepts and practices. General knowledge of other related disciplines.

  • Seeks and demonstrates understanding of comparative viewpoints, alternative ideas and approaches. Utilizes integrative conflict management skills. Solicits feedback. Responds productively when challenged.

  • Initiates feedback support of the team’s work. Partners with leadership and team members to support others/own development. Freely transfers knowledge and perspective.

  • Weekend or evening work may be required as supply situations dictate.
