Purpose Statement:

 

The Time Specialist position will be considered SME for the Workday Time & Kronos time tracking and time off transactions supporting US/PR & Canada employees. This position will be primarily responsible for handling high complexity items and escalation and working directly with Business Leaders, BHR, as well as cross functional teams including Benefits COE, BTS and ER. Responsible for time off/time tracking compliance adherence, analytics, and communication with stakeholders. Strategic partner in identifying opportunities for system enhancements; engaging and consulting with functional owners providing detailed system-based options for resolving complex business process issues and drive implementation.

 

Major Responsibilities:

 

  • Responsible for Time related tasks: Audit review, Mass submission and Mass approval of Timeblocks and other standard time support for payroll processing every pay period
  • Handle escalations and complex time tracking/time off inquiries, partnering with Payroll Operations on pay output. Manage Time queue, prioritizing issues based on severity and customer impact.
  • Develop and Maintain Process documentation & Standard Operating Procedures, ensuring compliance with established controls and guidelines
  • Lead as Workday Time subject matter expert by pro-actively consulting the HR business (BHR & COE), providing insight on operational trends, collaborating on business needs, and providing potential solutions.
  • Partner closely with HR Solutions & BTS to process unique or complex transactions and to support ongoing learning and collaboration across teams
  • Support implementation of system updates/corrections; partnering with cross functional teams, communicating business impact, troubleshooting production issues, and retesting fixes as needed.  
  • Develop and maintain training modules and provide training to end users as needed
  • Identify and drive implementation of process improvement opportunities, including automation
  • Manage projects related to Time Tracking/Time off systems in close partnerships with HR Solutions, BTS and other key stakeholders. Responsible for end-to-end activities including change management and end user training.

Qualifications:

 

  1. Bachelors Degree required
  2. Experience of 5+ years in Workday Time and Payroll tasks at advanced level
  3. A work ethic based on a strong desire to exceed expectations.
  4. Strong written and oral communication skills, in English
  5. Expert in WD Time tasks
  6. Intermediate level of Word, Excel, in addition to strong technical & analytical aptitude.
  7. Able to work independently in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
  8. Able to work in highly matrix environment and drive results through collaboration and coordination with multiple stakeholders, both internal and external.
  9. Able work well under pressure, be sensitive to deadlines, be able to interact in a team environment, be able to adapt quickly to change, deep attention to details and possess excellent analytical, problem solving and customer service skills.
