Our team in Fort Collins, CO is now recruiting for a Pathology Associate Supervisor to join a rapidly growing team.

Essential Functions

  • Providing oversight, training, guidance, and support for the Pathology Associate team.
  • Directing workflow for the Pathology Associate team.
  • Fulfilling Pathology Associate tasks as follows:
    • Requesting and organizing applicable data from the Sponsor/Study Director prior to the Pathologist’s evaluation of slides.
    • Preparing pathology report templates and data spreadsheets to provide a formatted, complete, clear, and concise presentation of results, discussion, and conclusion by the Pathologist.
    • Performing QC of study related data entry spreadsheets and reports to assure accuracy of results.
    • Supporting local and remote Pathologists, as needed.
    • Monitoring and tracking Pathologist’s schedules to ensure timely issuance of deliverables.
    • Assisting the Pathologist in the resolution of audit related findings.
    • Ensure that studies are scheduled, monitored, and tracked within the team to meet the objectives, deliverables, and timelines.
    • Providing clear and accurate documentation of study activities according to SOP/GLP requirements.
    • Study administrative tasks for assisting the Pathologists (setting up study binders, slide receipt/inventory, study scheduling).
    • Other duties as assigned to meet business needs.

 

Management and Team:

  • Reports to Director, Medical Device Pathology and works cross functionally with multiple teams
  • Manages one or more Pathology Associates
  • Establishes and maintains training and development objectives for direct reports

What we’re looking for:

  • Demonstrates strong organizational, communication, time management, and interpersonal skills in a cross-functional team.
  • Able to demonstrate strong skills in authoring and managing the production of scientific documents (pre-clinical study protocols, technical reports, regulatory documentation and/or publications in peer-reviewed journals).
  • Works collaboratively with others to maintain a safe environment.

Working Conditions:

  • May involve typical office environment and a laboratory setting with potential direct exposure to/handling of laboratory animals
  • Work from home with occasional travel to company facility may be available
  • Typical hours 8am-5:30pm M-F with non-standard hours, evening and weekend work occasionally required

Minimum Education / Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a science-related discipline or five years or more of qualified industry experience.
  • Proficient in Outlook, Adobe, Word, and Excel with the ability to quickly learn and master new software applications as needed (PhotoShop, ImagePro, etc.).
  • Prior QA/QC and/or report writing is required.
  • Equivalent combination of related education and required work experience will be considered with management approval.
  • Prior leadership experience is desirable.

 

What we offer:

  • This will be an exempt position and salary range of $70,000 to $83,000 annually, commensurate with your education, experience, and certification.
