About Alloy Therapeutics

Alloy Therapeutics is a biotechnology ecosystem company empowering the global scientific community to make better medicines together. Through a community of partners, we democratize access to tools, technologies, services, and company creation capabilities that are foundational for discovering and developing therapeutic biologics. We provide affordable, non-exclusive access to the entire drug discovery community from academic scientists, small and medium biotech, to the largest biopharma. Founded in 2017 and privately funded by visionary investors, we are headquartered in Waltham, MA with European labs in Cambridge, UK, and expanding to San Francisco Bay Area. As a reflection of our relentless commitment to the scientific community, Alloy reinvests 100% of its revenue in innovation and access to innovation.

At Alloy, we believe our industry should compete on getting the best drugs to patients as quickly as possible, not exclusive access to the best platforms. The team and company are rapidly expanding; successful members thrive in our shared culture of accountability, deliberate trust, and open communication. As a team, we aspire to work together to exceed expectations and collectively contribute across the global organization to always maintain our nimble, startup culture.

Who You Are

We are seeking two hard-working and detail-oriented bench Scientists to advance our novel antisense platform to create precision medicines. We are looking for people with expertise in RNA/DNA molecular biology and various biochemical, molecular, and cellular assays. Principal Responsibilities

  • Learn and contribute to advancing novel antisense chemistry platform for therapeutics
  • Conceive hypothesis-driven experiments to systematically evaluate novel antisense chemistry in terms of biochemical and physical property characterization, in vitro and in vivo efficacy
  • Investigate the mechanisms of novel antisense modalities and examine their effects on targeted gene expression, and any off-target analysis
  • Characterize intracellular trafficking pathways, including endosomal escape, and their effects on antisense activity, internalization, and subcellular localization
  • Evaluate various drug delivery routes and dosing regimens, in terms of efficacy, biodistribution, and safety
  • Work closely with senior leadership to communicate findings and implications and help drive the development of the novel antisense platform for therapeutics
