Whether you are involved in the design and development of manufacturing processes for products or supporting maintenance and reliability, engineering is vital to making sure customers and patients have the medicines they need, when they need them. Working with our innovative engineering team, you'll help bring medicines to the world even faster by imagining what’s possible and taking action.

We have multiple opportunities in one of the following Technical operations teams: Cleaning Validation, Engineering / Equipment Validation and Gene Therapy Clinical Manufacturing teams.

These roles include generation of protocols and assessments, direct sampling of equipment, working with manufacturing to align sample schedules, understanding Delta V controls, and pulling data from LIMs. Direct interaction with regulatory authorities during audits.

At a minimum, the person should be able to independently execute work, facilitate discussions and decision making between multiple departments, interact with various groups across the organization, be a self-starter, and be able to oversee and lead projects to ensure that the cleaning and/or process is running as intended, that the cleaning/process is appropriately validated and runs continuously in a validated state, and look to identify continuous improvement opportunities.

Knowledge of electronic systems including PDOC’s, LIMS, SAP, MS Word and MS Excel will be utilized as part of the job. The person should be highly motivated, a self-starter, and be able to work with a team on projects as well as on their own.

What You Will Achieve

Working with Pfizer’s dynamic engineering team, you will play a critical role in supporting efforts to bring products from research to manufacturing. You will leverage your technical capabilities to understand the inherent problems of transfer of technology from the research stage to manufacturing, in cooperation with pilot-plant and production departments. You will conduct tests and measurements throughout the stages of production and troubleshoot production process problems with processes or equipment already in operation.

How You Will Achieve It

  • Contribute to the completion of project milestones and organize own work to meet project task deadlines.

  • Work in a structured environment under supervision.

  • Prepare and review of scale up protocols and reports, technology transfer protocols and reports, batch manufacturing records, batch packaging records and bill of materials etc.

  • Establish small-scale production processes and use scaled-down lab processes to enable process troubleshooting.

  • Share knowledge through existing knowledge sharing processes or systems.

  • Follow effective safety systems that are implemented in the premises.

Qualifications

Must-Have

  • Applicant must have a High School Diploma (or Equivalent) and 6 years of relevant experience OR an associates degree with 4 years of experience OR a bachelors degree with 1 to 4 years of experience.

Nice-to-Have

  • Prior experience working in the Pharmaceutical industry

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

Position requirements are typical for an office-based work environment. There are no unusual requirements for this position

NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS

Schedule is primarily day shift but may require off-shift work on occasions. The position may require working on the floor in manufacturing at times which will require a heightened safety awareness and aseptic gowning will be required.
