Supervisor, Product Test

The Product Test team is integrated with our manufacturing, quality, and process development teams, with a focus on ensuring our product is of the highest quality.

This role will be working on ensuring our product works as expected.  The individual will be instrumental in testing capital equipment and consumable products.

• Perform routine analytical, biochemical, and molecular biology assays to support release, characterization and testing of raw materials, production intermediates, and finished goods.
• Coordinate planning of activities within the Product Test team and with manufacturing and supply chain.
• Assist with projects around QC process improvements and qualification of changes.
• May participate in revising and updating work instructions and supporting documentation.
• May participate in lab execution of experiments for technical support of production testing including OOS (out of specification) and NC investigations, root cause analysis.
• Managing a small team of Product Test technicians.

• Cross-functional collaboration, soft influence, written and verbal communication skills.
• Molecular biology laboratory skills such as multichannel pipetting, etc.
• Ability to author and revise work instructions and perform molecular biology assays with guidance.
• Ability to respond quickly to shifting priorities and meet deadlines.
• Experience with Quality Management Systems and Change Control is preferred.
• Experience with MES, ERP, and PLM systems is preferred.
• Must have excellent communication skills, the ability to multitask, work with a team and independently.

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree and 2-6 years or previous related experience; 6-10 years of appropriate lab/industry experience may substitute for a degree.
• Experience in biotechnology or device manufacturing.
• Experience managing a team.
• Experience in Quality Control is required.
