The Gilead Business Services center in Raleigh's North Hills is home to some of the company's critical shared service teams in North America, including Information Technology, Global Financial Solutions, HR Operations, R&D Data Science and Procurement Services Desk. These functions provide the necessary support to ensure Gilead's business runs effectively and efficiently. The center is a catalyst for standardization of processes, digital transformation and technology optimization.

The company is currently seeking an IT Sys Manager Ariba Strategic Sourcing

IT Sys Manager Ariba Strategic Sourcing will play a critical role in carrying out important initiatives of the Gilead IT team, to partner with the business, other groups of IT and AMS to ensure operational issues are resolved timely, and ecosystem is stable and the data integration is accurate, also to provide insight into enhancements (functional and technical subject matter expertise) and support ongoing sustainment roadmap, work with solution providers to ensure scalability, and fulfilling growing needs of the business.

An Ideal person will be someone with 6+ years of experience in Ariba and hands on experience in implementation and management of Ariba suite of Applications in sourcing and procurement and integration experience with S4 HANA or any leading ERP systems at least with two global companies.

Must have proven experience of implementation, configuration, customization and integration of Ariba Sourcing and procurement and Collaboration Modules in a global company.
  • Act as key subject matter expert for core sourcing and contracting systems and tools and has strong knowledge of ancillary systems and integration points; understand systems/tools process and usage
  • Partner with Global Strategic Sourcing and other leaders to understand the requirements and priorities for the sourcing and contracting systems and tools; understands the sourcing and contracting business processes
  • Provide global training, including ongoing support and guidance, for areas of responsibility
  • Own and coordinate the process for adding suppliers into the system for sourcing events
  • Support the Delivery on Sourcing objectives, strategies, plans and projects
  • Lead business in translating requirements into designs that leverage the best practices embedded with in Ariba sourcing
  • Strategic sourcing process knowledge, Implementing and working with Ariba SSC
  • Thorough knowledge of Ariba Workbook requirements gathering and working along with Ariba SSC for deploying the solutions
  • Good working knowledge of Ariba Spend Analysis through classification and enrichment
  • Good knowledge on Ariba application maintenance to support the strategic sourcing
  • Responsible for identifying current technology enhancements and improvements and driving continuous improvement initiatives to improve user experience and drive efficiencies on the strategic sourcing technology platform
  • Participate in projects to support Strategic Sourcing
  • Leads and/or supports technology implementation for Strategic Sourcing


Qualifications:
  • Master's or bachelor's degree with 6+ years of Strategic Sourcing and/or Procurement and/or Information Systems
  • Experience in Source to Pay technology (preference for past experience with Ariba, SAP and integration experience with Contract Lifecycle Management applications)
  • Demonstrated experience working with 3rd Party systems providers
  • Experience of working for a multinational corporation
  • Experience in technology implementation and supporting stakeholders through change management
  • Pro-actively contribute to the continuous improvement of technology/business processes through identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing changes.
  • Take responsibility for Gilead's core business systems, including administration, maintenance, and development.
  • Excellent communication and management skills, with an ability to influence at all levels.
