Summary

Responsible for aiding in the design, execution, analysis, and recommendations of list and contracting strategies for Daiichi-Sankyo's in-line and pre-launch products. Provide strategic guidance to the US Market Access team and the extended Managed Care Field teams, as necessary. Develop strong leadership relationships with senior business partners (Market Access, Brand teams, finance, legal, etc. and global marketing teams and co-promote partners as necessary) and lead strategic assessment efforts to provide insights from our customers to maximize the future market potential & profitability of Daiichi Sankyo's assets. Work collaboratively with analytic teams (Market Insights, Forecasting, etc.), as well as extended business partners (Brand teams, Field Market Access, Legal, and Finance), to inform key business decisions. Take key role in maintaining analytical models for the team. This role will focus primarily on the Oncology space but may also work in other therapeutic areas as needed to align with Daiichi Sankyo's evolving pipeline.

Responsibilities

  • Aid in the design and execution, using secondary analyses to generate insights, of the brand’s launch/future list price, contracting, access strategy as well as, life-cycle management, and overall pricing strategy.

    Leverage market access reports and data in assessing current product and competitive markets for assigned products to drive strategic pricing and contracting decisions.

    Prepare presentations, deliver findings, and make strategic recommendations.

    Prepare contracts and contract amendments for execution with customers and aid in contract language redlining and negotiations.

    Lead contract template language development and maintenance.

    Prepare pricing analysis insight reports and share with internal stakeholders (e.g. ASP quarterly updates)

    Maintain brand’s Economic and ASP forecasting models.

  • Develop strong relationships with market access, field managed care, brand partners, finance, and legal (including brand directors and cross-functional leaders) and serve as their pricing & contracting SME for issues and questions that may arise. Attend appropriate cross-functional meetings and help act as a liaison to other team members, as necessary. Collaborate with co-promote partners, as necessary.
  • Develop functional excellence by identifying and demonstrating “best practices” in pricing and contracting analytics, incorporating learnings from across the industry. Maintain high level of proficiency and understanding of currently available data sources, customer insights and trends.
  • Partner with Market Access, Commercial Operations (Insights and Analytics), and Finance to deliver recommendations, manage internal relationships, and gain buy in on strategies. Leverage relationships with the aforementioned to understand drivers of success for product pricing strategies, and develop strategic recommendations based on primary and secondary research.


Qualifications: Successful candidates will be able to meet the qualifications below with or without a reasonable accommodation.
Education Qualifications (from an accredited college or university)

  • Bachelor's Degree required; Business or quantitative discipline preferred
  • Master's Degree MBA or related discipline preferred

Experience Qualifications

  • 4 or More Years overall related experience, preferably within a pricing, market access or business analysis function, managed care or market access functions, and/or relevant experience obtained through a Fellowship program or similar program required
  • 4 or More Years oncology, oncology buy and bill and new product launch experience and pharmaceutical experience preferred
  • 1 or More Years pricing and contracting experience required

Ability to travel up to 10%
