About the Role:
The Manager, Supply Chain and Logistics Site Lead is experienced, motivated, organized and accountable to perform (physical – lifting/carrying up to 75lbs, electronic, verbal, written and technical) job tasks, in a prioritized manner, independent from a managerial direction, with appropriate follow-up to internal customers. Works closely with the Clinical Operations staff to accomplish study-specific goals within designated timelines.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage the inbound and outbound day-to-day supply chain, including kitting supply inventory, shipping logistics, ad hoc equipment needs, and quality & control
  • Evaluate requests for novel in-home visits procedures and work with the quality team to assess and source new suppliers and vendors
  • Partner with the Director of Field Operations to meet and/or exceed KPI and study specific P&L objectives
  • Lead supply chain projects as needed to improve the supply chain efficiencies when identified
  • Work with finance for procurement of materials and oversee inventory activities that ensure target inventory levels and the receipt and replenishment of supplies
  • Maintain organized and safe storage conditions in alignment with Good Lab Practices (GLP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
  • Manage and direct the assembly process of biospecimen kits according to specifications
  • Monitor delivery progress of kits and specimens and troubleshoot any deviations
  • Proactively mitigate and communicate risks regarding inventory, kitting, and shipping activities to the operations team
  • Manage and fully resolve with complete follow up, any issues or errors with the kitting process, kit shipments, or kit materials
  • Understand study design and requirements as it relates to commercial components, business processes, and the supply chain
  • Management of direct report(s) and cross-department collaboration to ensure accurate and efficient daily operations and project completion
  • Site Leadership - Serve as site lead ensuring site safety requirements and oversight of staff at designated locations
  • Develop standard operating procedures and other associated documentation related to supply chain and logistics operations
  • Ensure proper implementation and ongoing adherence to documented procedures and standard processes
  • Manage third party logistics vendors and suppliers to ensure adherence to service level agreements
  • Effective communication of any quality issues to the QA department in a timely and effective manner
  • Experience in deviation/CAPA investigation.

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Engineering, Business, or science related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing , fulfillment, or distribution environment
  • Strong computer skills with demonstrated ability using logistics software tools
  • At least 2+ years of supervisory or management experience
  • Outstanding attention to detail
  • Excellent professional writing and communication skills
  • Highly organized; ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently
  • Ability to work in an independent environment
  • Resourceful with heightened analytical abilities and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work with all levels within an organization

Preferred Requirements:

  • Six Sigma certification or supply chain management certification
  • Experience in a clinical research, healthcare logistics environment, or similar preferred
