Eikon Therapeutics is a new biopharmaceutical company employing revolutionary technology at the intersection of chemistry, engineering, computation, and biology to discover novel treatments for life-threatening diseases. Eikon’s discovery platform is built on groundbreaking innovations from its founders (Nobel Prize, 2014), culminating in the creation of microscopes which enable real time, molecular-resolution measurements of protein movement in living cells, thereby unlocking otherwise intractable classes of proteins as drug targets.

Position

We are currently seeking an experienced leader to serve as a member of IT leadership team. This role reports to the CIO. They will develop and execute IT strategy across the organization to implement enterprise applications in support of our early-stage research and development and future growth. You will build and lead a team of experts to help implement business systems. This position will provide strategic direction for technology and data management and have responsibility for enterprise applications and architecture.

About You

You are agile of mind and effectively communicate difficult concepts. You work well within a dynamic environment and possess a deep desire to pursue creative solutions with broad guidance and a high degree of independence. You can partner with business leadership and functional area SMEs to proactively identify areas of need, design/recommend solutions, prioritize work, make “build versus buy” decisions, coordinate pilot studies, ensure appropriate system usage, and regularly report on system metrics and portfolio execution.

 What You’ll Do

  • Partner with business and technology leadership to facilitate delivery of business value 
  • Implement a strategic technology roadmap and vision for enterprise business applications and cloud-based technologies
  • Focus on the life cycles of current and future application technologies with stakeholders
  • Oversee the daily management of the application and architecture organization
  • Assist in optimizing risk, cost, and value of applications from start to finish
  • Possess full knowledge of the technical applications and maintain a service-oriented approach
  • Define and own metrics and key performance indicators 
  • Ensure necessary security, administration, and processes to align to audit requirements
  • Lead architectural discussions and influence technology decisions

Qualifications

  • Must have at least 10 years of experience in IT in a leadership position in pharma/biopharma industry
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related (Master’s is a plus)
  • Strong industry background in Finance, Manufacturing, Supply chain with expertise architecting, implementing, and managing systems therein
  • Experience in leading successful implementations and migrations like ERP, PLM, HRIS and CLM systems
  • Demonstrated capabilities in managing the development of modern solutions, data integration and continuous improvement and delivery
  • Advanced, senior level experience in various project management methodologies and practices
  • Experience with digital transformations and designing delivery capabilities through modern technologies
  • Experience managing projects with multiple stakeholders effectively
  • Well-versed in developing governance processes, QA, UAT, and end-user testing and change control management
  • Strong communicator with excellent people, conflict resolution, and problem-solving skills and strong public speaking and presentations abilities
  • Prior expertise strategically planning for change management, process improvement, productivity, budgeting, and resource allocation/management
