The R&D Engineer will work with a cross-functional research and development team to develop the next generation of medical diagnostics products at Inflammatix. The position will be a combination of design, hands-on prototyping, and executing experiments.
Candidates applying for this position must be self-starters and motivated to drive projects to completion. They must be good communicators and remain flexible while wearing many hats at a rapidly growing small company.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design and execute experiments to evaluate design and manufacturing changes for Inflammatix products
- Analyze data, apply appropriate methods, and interpret results to form independent conclusions
- Write scripts to analyze and report on experimental data
- Prepare and present results to summarize findings
- Create and release protocols, work instructions, and reports as needed to support project work
- Design and develop fixtures and tools to aid in testing and development
QUALIFICATIONS:
- BS degree in Biomedical Engineering, or a related field
- 0-1 years of experience in engineering
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Independently execute projects from planning to results
- Experience in design of experiments preferred
- Hands-on fixture and device design and development experience preferred
- Familiar with at least one hands-on biology technique (e.g. LAMP, PCR, cell culture, etc.)
- Ability to determine testing strategy and methodologies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Flexibility to multi-task and perform a wide range of activities
COMPENSATION AND CLASSIFICATION:
- Classification: Full-time
