The Position

Earli, Inc. is currently seeking motivated In Vivo Biology Scientist. She/he will be responsible for the implementing preclinical in vivo studies to characterize Earli’s proprietary compounds from discovery through to IND enabling studies.

Your Primary Responsibilities

  • Conduct high quality in vivo studies independently and work with cross-functional teams to design in vivo studies
  • Develop and characterize in vivo model systems and technologies to evaluate efficacy of novel test compounds in a variety of animal models (i.e. CDX, PDX, metastatic, orthotopic, benign and transgenic/GEMM models)
  • Analyze, interpret, and communicate scientific data to team members in a timely manner
  • Present scientific findings at team and staff meetings

Your Required Experience, Knowledge and Skill

  • BS or MS degree in biological science, animal science, cancer biology or a related discipline with at least 7+ years of hands-on in vivo experience or PhD with 0-2 years of relevant experience.
  • Excellent dosing skills (IV, IP, PO, SC, IM, intratracheal, etc) and bleeding skills (submandibular bleed, cardiac puncture, etc.)
  • Excellent tissue harvest and necropsy skills
  • Excellent survival surgical skills, particularly with orthotopic and tumor resection models
  • Experience in developing tumor and non-tumor in vivo model systems including PDX models
  • Experience with different analytical methods (i.e. FACS, ELISA, etc.)
  • Experience with different in vivo imaging modalities, such as an optical imager and CT imager.
  • Excellent analytical and record keeping skills.
  • Adept in designing animal studies, and drafting study protocols and reports
  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to multi-task, manage multiple projects simultaneously with minimal error, and work effectively within a team
  • Must be able to think independently and fully integrate into a high achieving team environment.
