Join FUJIFILM Diosynth Biotechnologies in our new facility location - Thousand Oaks, California! The Controller will report directly to the Head of Finance at the FUJIFILM Diosynth Biotechnologics California (FDBC) location. The job holder will be responsible for the developing and maintaining accounting systems for financial forecasting and reporting. They will oversee the accounts receivable, accounts payable, and other transactional team members as appropriate.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain accounting systems for financial forecasting and reporting.
  • Responsible for the production and submission of accurate and timely internal management and corporate reporting on a month and quarterly basis. Ensure that all balance sheet and P&L items are accurate, reviewed and reconciled.
  • Provision of all information required for the timely filing of locally handled tax returns and reports required by government regulatory agencies and also the central corporate tax function.
  • Oversee the accounts receivable, accounts payable, and other transactional team members as appropriate.
  • Responsibility for the calculation, posting and forecasting of revenue with an understanding of ASC606 revenue recognition standard.
  • Responsibility for the calculation and entry of month end journals as required.
  • Responsible for banking transactions and cash management to determine the Company's cash funding requirements. This will include authorizing payments as appropriate.
  • Implementation and ongoing monitoring of internal controls to ensure corporate and SOX compliance.
  • Guides cost analysis process by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures; providing trends and forecasts; explaining processes and techniques; recommending actions.
  • Review and make recommendations on capital expenditure proposals.
  • Support the Head of Finance by preparing reports and analysis as requires.
  • Supporting the Head of Finance with the management of an ongoing transitional service agreement and exit plan, which will involve a SAP Hana implementation.
  • Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing publications.

Qualifications:

  • BS/BA in accounting, finance or relevant preferred.
  • Professional certification (e.g. CPA).
  • 3+ years' experience as a Public Accountant.
  • Solid knowledge of USGAAP.
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting and financial processes (budgeting, financial closure, reporting etc.).
  • Well-organized with ability to prioritize.
  • Very good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
  • Understanding of ACS606 revenue recognition preferred.
  • Audit experience preferred.
