Tallac Therapeutics Inc. is a privately held immuno-oncology company advancing innovative therapeutic approaches in disease areas of unmet medical needs. Our core technology platform enables us to discover and develop next generation protein therapeutics for targeted immune activation, harnessing the power of innate and adaptive immunity to fight cancer. We are currently advancing a pipeline of novel Toll-like Receptor Agonist Antibody Conjugate (TRAAC) molecules towards clinical development. We are looking for a creative and passionate Sr. Scientist/Principal Scientist to join our Research team. The successful candidate will contribute to the discovery of antibody therapeutics and development of novel technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as project protein lead in a small, multi-functional team for Tallac novel research/pipeline program.
  • Stay scientifically current, initiate new technologies by implementing ideas from literature research and attending conferences etc.
  • Design the synthesis, purification, and characterization of antibody conjugates on research and early development scales.
  • Independently perform experiments, analyze, and interpret data, and report findings at internal team meetings, scientific conferences, and to key stakeholders.
  • Effectively communicate and collaborate with colleagues in Protein Science, Biology, CMC and other groups to drive project progression

Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in Biochemistry/Chemical Biology or other relevant discipline with 2+ years of relevant experience. Passionate about novel technologies and have strong scientific curiosity with proven track records    Extensive experience with generation and characterization of antibody drug conjugates by multiple methodologies are required Solid background in chemistry.  Ability to design and troubleshoot linker payload generation at CROs is preferred Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. The ideal candidate enjoys and thrives in a fast-paced startup environment Excellent written and oral communication skills are required
