Associate Director, New Products Customer Insights - Oncology/Hematology

We are seeking an Associate Director, New Products Customer Insights with focus on Hematology & Oncology. Working closely with the new products commercial team leads your role will be focused on delivering integrated market and customer analyses and insights that inform clinical development decision making for Regeneron’s hematology and oncology pipeline assets.  You will be relied upon for providing integrated insights and strategic recommendations based on the market landscape analyses you create, the qualitative and quantitative primary market research engagements you direct, and the secondary market research you undertake. You will be an integral member of the new products commercial program team. Your team members will rely on you to provide them with in-depth outside-in customer and market perspectives required for the development and commercial launch of well differentiated products that optimally meet customer needs. 

Key responsibilities include:
  • Develop and put into operation robust and well-crafted market research plans that inform key development decisions and strategic initiatives.
  • Work with New Products Marketing and cross-functional partners to translate complex business issues into concise market research objectives and market research studies/analyses with clear and actionable learnings and insights.
  • Bring together and integrate data and information regarding competitive landscape and future products/market scenarios from pertinent inside and publically available resources.
  • Generate disease landscape analyses  covering disease overview, epidemiology, treatment paradigms, standard of care, unmet needs, etc.
  • Identify current and future product, market, and customer needs through primary and/or secondary market research. Create patient treatment funnels, and potential positioning of pipeline therapies in future treatment paradigm
  • Manage market research/analysis projects in support of Oncology/Hematology New Products clinical development, commercial pre-launch preparedness, launch strategies, product promotion, and evaluation of new market opportunities and competitive threats.
  • Conduct commercial market assessments to understand current and evolving market dynamics, leveraging secondary/syndicated data resources.
  • Provide inputs for forecasting products and markets, leveraging primary/secondary market research insights.
  • Determine positioning of new oncology/hematology products and indications as we continue to expand our oncology/hematology franchise.
  • Build collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders across functions including New Products Marketing, Market Access, Competitive Intelligence, Forecasting, Advanced Analytics, Clinical Development, Medical Affairs and HEOR.
  • Establish best-in-class customer insights capabilities and processes in the New Products Commercial Business Unit.

To be considered for this opportunity, your background will include:

  • Minimum of 8 years of biopharmaceutical healthcare market customer insights and analysis experience with proven track record of successfully leading biopharma market research initiatives among healthcare providers, patients, caregivers, payers, and other relevant stakeholder audiences.
  • Expert-level oncology market knowledge and experience are essential; New Products experience strongly desired. Global experience preferred.
  • Additional prior experience in supporting new products planning, strategic planning, business development, portfolio management or similar function highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of secondary and syndicated data sources, and ability to utilize these tools to inform business questions and decision efforts.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including strong presentation skills, story-telling capabilities, ability to build rapport and credibility, and consultative skills.
  • Results and solutions orientation, shared accountability and transparency, creative problem solving, ability to influence leaders at all levels of the organization, effective negotiation, and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to succeed in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously and delivering high quality business results within tight timelines.
  • Expert level PowerPoint and Excel skills and technologically savvy at learning new tools.
  • Bachelor’s Degree Required; STEM degree ideal; MBA/Masters or other graduate degree desired.
