  • Category Strategy Manager should be able to flex into other sourcing categories within the Commercial/Marketing/Digital categories of spend as required.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and key suppliers to insure that stakeholder requirements are met and supplier performance is measured and maintained at the appropriate service levels.

  • This role requires significant data analysis, industry trending, and benchmarking to ensure proactive and relevant strategies are delivered in a timely manner aligned with current and future business requirements.

  • Contract drafting experience, including Software as a Service

Responsibilities:

  • Support Sr Category Managers and Category Director to develop and foster global category strategies and deliver high added value support to key stakeholders

  • Build strong relationships with Procurement Regional teams and ensure effective linkages with local and regional colleagues. Effectively deploy global policy, procedures and systems.

  • Provide day to day customer relationship management to key stakeholders across different Business Units - Educate and engage stakeholders in sourcing & procurement objectives

  • Continue to develop solid sourcing skills while delivering on objectives.

  • Develop market expertise in assigned spend categories and remain current on supply market trends, business economics and best sourcing practices that impact the supply market and/or supplier economics

  • Ensure savings are captured via implementation of strategies in assigned spend areas.

  • Lead and/or participate in multiple complex, global strategic sourcing initiatives:

  • Translate the requirements of the subject matter experts into contractual requirements and deliverables.

  • As assigned will develop, maintain, and foster implementation of comprehensive, long range, sourcing strategies and plans for assigned category spend areas.

  • Support global/regional supplier negotiations

Organizational Relationships:

  • Directly reports to the Sr. Director Procurement – Digital

  • Collaboration across Global Business Services and Global Finance, including Sourcing and Procurement, Tax, and Financial Services among others.

  • External – Manage the key relationships with key strategic suppliers

Qualifications:

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required. Master’s Degree Desirable.

  • 5– 7 years relevant experience in procurement category management

  • Candidate must have demonstrated proficiency in managing complex, cross-functional activities.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of procurement systems, processes and procedures;

  • Analytical and negotiation skills and techniques;

  • Contracting skills;

  • Management skills in assessing business issues;

  • Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal interactions skills;

  • Facilitating cross-functional teams;

  • Project Management
