Position Overview
Are you searching for an opportunity to apply your expert building skills to the next generation of medical imaging technology? We’re looking for a senior technician that can build complex electro-mechanical devices to support both our engineering and manufacturing teams. Our ideal candidate is highly experienced at building and testing R&D prototypes and is comfortable working with limited documentation. You know how to use fabrication tools to modify parts to make them work and can document all your changes. You can talk to engineers to explain what’s actually happening in the build. As an individual contributor, you will report to the engineering manager and will regularly collaborate with the rest of the engineering team. You will also work closely with manufacturing to support production. In the near-term, you will learn how to build Magnetic Particle Imaging scanners and become proficient building the specialized assemblies. In the long-term, you will work closely with the hardware engineers to ensure clinical scanners are designed for manufacturability.
