As a Cell Culture Scientist, you will design and execute scientific workflows to develop Mission Barns’ technology platform. You will collaborate with colleagues both within and across teams to advance our mission to produce safe, humane, and sustainable cultivated fat. This role is ripe for innovation and discovery, with responsibilities encompassing conceptualization, experimental design, execution, documentation, synthesis, and communication of research findings. Title and responsibilities will be commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities
- Cell culture system development including cell line, media, processing reagent, and platform development
- Planning and execution of scientific workflows based on company objectives
- Rigorous experimental design, documentation, and data analysis
- Concise and effective reporting and presentation of data
- Provide creative solutions and demonstrate critical thinking
- Collaborate with team members to support upstream and downstream work
About You
- Ph.D in Biological Sciences/Engineering or 7+ years of Biological industry experience is required. Advanced degree and industry experience is preferred.
- Animal primary cell culture expertise
- Expertise in cell differentiation, animal-component-free media development, biological process development, or tissue engineering
- Strong track record of peer-reviewed papers is preferred
- Scientific rigor towards continuous improvement of state-of-the-art cell culture technologies Mission Barns
- Ability to show adaptability and flexibility in a fast-paced startup environment
- Works well both independently and collaboratively
- Eager to learn, grow, and contribute
- Excellent communication skills and presentation skills
