Job Details

Waters has an exciting opportunity available for a Financial Analyst II to provide analytical and accounting support to the Americas Field Operations Division.  The division provides sales, service, and technical support to the Americas market.  The Senior Financial Analyst will be a key member of the Americas FP&A team, which provides accounting, analysis, planning, forecasting, and incentive compensation support for the division.  The Financial Analyst II will report to the Finance Manager, North America.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with and provide support to the instrument leasing business, including:
    • Reporting on business performance and forecasting revenue.
    • Ensuring revenue recognition compliance
    • Calculation and reconciliation of lease inventory & costs
  • Partner with and support business leaders in the Informatics organization and the newly created Clinical business unit.
  • Annual planning, accounting, forecasting and analysis of spending.
  • Involvement in the month end close including the preparation of monthly journal entries, analyses, and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Ensuring the accuracy and completeness of various consolidated reporting of the division results.
  • Actively participate in special projects and adhoc reporting requests for business partners and other organizations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or a related field of study
  • At least 3 years of relevant work experience in a similar role
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with SAP and BW or Analysis for Office preferred
  • Familiarity with GAAP lease accounting and revenue recognition practices is a plus.
