Role summary

Operation and Maintaining the Central Utility Plant that include:

  • Biomass and gas boilers

  • Steam turbine

  • HVAC chillers

  • Cooling towers

  • Air Compressors

  • Process waste- neutralization building

  • Diesel generators

  • Preforming Preventive, predictive, and/or corrective maintenance activities on equipment.

  • Preform rounds on equipment and buildings to verify proper operation

  • Operating and utilizing control system BMS, Delta-V and PLC

  • Use of electronic work order system, initiate corrective work order to make repairs

  • Understand drawings and PID

  • Preforming duties in a safe manner with Zero injuries

Qualifications

Must-Have
  • High School Diploma or GED and 4+ years of industrial maintenance experience OR

  • Associates Degree in within the Industrial Technology field of study

  • Knowledge of basic mathematics

  • Knowledge of the general trades, that is, construction, electrical, machine shop

  • Possess skill to understand and execute simple to complex maintenance task for mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and automated systems

  • Computer skills, good written and verbal English communication skills

Nice-to-Have
  • Associates Degree in Engineering Field of study or Bachelor's Degree

  • Pharmaceutical and/or Bio-Pharmaceutical experience and knowledge of {Current} Good Manufacturing Practices {part of GxP} operations

  • Course work {or equivalent experience} in the general or specific areas of electro/mechanical technology


Physical / Mental requirements
  • Position requirements are typical for a manufacturing plant-based work environment with significant shop floor exposure.

  • Routine lifting, sitting, standing, walking and bending is required.

  • Working in hot and called weather conditions

  • Working at heights

Non-Standard work schedule, travel or environment requirements
  • Schedule will begin as a M-F, 8 hour day shift (during training and learning curve) but transition to a 12 hour rotating shift including days, nights, and weekends after a determined length of time needed for orientation and training. 36/48 hour weeks rotating. Alternative work schedules may be required to support specific project-related activities.
