Business Analyst

The Business Analyst role is responsible for our Marketing Automation platforms and business application use of HCP Marketing Automation technologies.  He/she will analyze business processes; and document business requirements; lead release management activities and leverage all the features and capabilities within the Marketing Automation platform. This position will ensure awareness of all the technical capabilities within the HCP omni-channel marketing eco-system and advocate optimal utilization within the Marketing Automation program and related components.  He/she will translate business requirements into functional requirements; understand data flows; manages change; and leads, coordinates / performs testing, verification, and new releases.

Key Responsibilities Include: 

• Responsible for systems life cycle (SLC) activities including but not limited to documentation of requirements & release management, changes in system, and business systems analysis related activities.
• Aids in Marketo platform governance, user access management, platform support, ensures the system is running efficiently and integrated with predefined data feeds
• Proactively shares knowledge of Marketing Automation platform capabilities with BTS colleagues and cross functional team members in the form of Knowledge Transfer documentation, training, Sharepoint site, and presentations.
• Identify process disconnects and translate them into improvement opportunities with cost savings or avoidance, and productivity improvements. 
• Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives of assignment.  Has defined authority and responsibility for a significant area of work, including technical and quality aspects.
• Responsible for compliance with applicable AbbVie Policies and procedures. Work with minimal oversight; deliverables and relationships are monitored through periodic reviews.
• Understands the overall HCP omni-channel marketing strategy and business clients to understand specific business processes and needs and opportunities for improvement; identifies IT capabilities and information required to support the business processes and collaborates in the development of appropriate IT strategies.

• Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• 4-6 years of related work experience.
• Demonstrable experience and understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SLC)

Preferred Experience:

• Experience with the Adobe Marketo Engage, KNAK and similar email authoring platforms
• Knowledge of terminology, processes, practices and procedures associated with business systems analysis
• Knowledge of Data Privacy, Data Security, HIPAA and health data compliance best practices.
• Proficient in project management practices, portfolio review, finance and budgeting.
