Python Developer with OAuth

We are searching for a Python Developer with OAuth, OIDC, and SAML to support the National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI). This opportunity is full time supporting our work at the NCBI in Bethesda, MD. You will join NCBI’s team of web developers and software engineers to build robust, flexible web applications, APIs, and services. This role calls for an experienced full stack developer with OAuth, OIDC, and SAML experience – someone fluent in authentication and authorization models, security, infrastructure, compliance, federated login, and migration of legacy applications and user account consolidation.

 

Duties & Responsibilities

• Implement and support CIT's Research Authentication System integration with the NCBI IAM environment.
• Migrate applications to client side OIDC OAuth2.0 solution
• Develop and maintain an access management integration process detailing the technical architecture
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently during account migration and consolidation

Requirements

 

Required qualifications:

 

• BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• Proficient with Python, C++, and SQL
• Experience with Microsoft SQL server and relational database design and optimization
• Knowledge of federated identity and web security concepts such as SAML, OAuth 2.0, and OIDC
• Programming experience in a Linux environment
• Fluency in some scripting languages such as BASH
• Experience with version control systems like Git or SVN
