Associate Manufacturing Component Prep & Dispensing


What you will do

Lets do this. Lets change the world. In this vital role you will support the Drug Product Component Prep and/or Dispensing operations according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in a Non-Standard Shift environment. Multiple positions available.


  • Hands-on operations, set-up, clean, sterilize, sanitize, and prepare equipment for Component Prep and/or Dispensing Process.
  • Weigh and Dispense Raw Materials and Drug Substance under aseptic environment.
  • Perform Drug Substance thawing process.
  • Perform integrity Test to filters used in Manufacturing activities.
  • Autoclave, Parts Washer and Ultrasonic Sinks operation.
  • Perform routine sanitization to equipment and manufacturing rooms
  • Implement routine validation protocols.
  • Receive, store, dispense, deliver, transfer, reconcile, cycle count, or ship materials per cGMP procedures and regulations.
  • Operate multiple inventory software applications and resolve basic system issues within Amgens SAP and MES system.
  • Operate warehouse equipment, e.g. pallet jack, etc.
  • Will perform and monitor critical processes, implement routine protocols, and regularly draft and revise documents such as Manufacturing Procedures, SOPs and technical reports.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting and assist in the review of documentation for assigned functions May have the responsibility of owning Deviations/CAPAs.
  • Identify and recommend improvements related to routine functions and implement after approval.
  • May work generating/receiving inventory orders.

Bachelors degree


Associates degree and 4 years of manufacturing experience in a GMP regulated environment


High school diploma and 6 years of manufacturing experience in a GMP regulated environment


  • Educational background in Life Sciences, Biotechnology or Engineering.
  • Availability to Support Non-Standard Shifts including rotative weekdays and weekends.
  • Experience working in biotechnology, pharmaceutical or medical device company.
  • Knowledge and experience in Autoclave sterilization, Aseptic Techniques, Filter integrity Tests, Cycle Count, Media Fills Execution, Troubleshooting in Parts Washer and Ultrasonic Sinks.
  • Knowledge and experience in Drug Substance Thawing Process, Weigh and Dispense of materials and inventory transactions.
  • Experience performing assembling disassembling, operating, and understanding equipment per procedures.
  • Knowledge of basic computer systems including Microsoft Office, SAP, MES, LIMS.
  • Excellent communication, organization, attention to detail and technical writing skills.
  • Bilingual: Spanish and English
