The new “Senior Manager, Life Insurance Partnership Marketing” will be primarily responsible for creating and leveraging partner opportunities for GRAIL with Life Insurance customers and other partnership opportunities as they unfold.  You will do this by building brand positioning and messaging for this segment that communicates the GRAIL value proposition for both the producer/agent and member of GRAIL’s offerings, for the early detection of cancer. 

This position will be remote based within the US.
You Will:
  • Brand Stewardship – Serve as a passionate steward, advocate and gatekeeper for the “GRAIL” brand. Monitor the Life Insurance landscape, and evolving perceptions of GRAIL (versus other value adds for their members), in the event GRAIL needs to consider refining the brand’s positioning, architecture, value proposition, and messaging. Additionally, ensure all communications embrace and reflect a consistent set of GRAIL brand standards and guidelines.
  • Strategic Planning – Develop and lead a disciplined, data-driven, goal-focused B2B Marketing planning process, and a creative GTM plan that provides clear and valid performance metrics and can be continually optimized based on real-time outcomes. Partner closely with Research, Sales and others on the Marketing team to develop digital strategies, metrics, content and plans that drive business objectives. Lead day-to-day execution of digital campaigns, tactics and programs to drive awareness, lead generation, and ultimately, conversion and adoption.
  • Sales Enablement/Lead Gen – Working in a support role for GRAIL Sales colleagues, build awareness of “GRAIL,” and help seed and soften the life insurance market, using a holistic Marketing and Communications effort. Marketing tactics might include all possible sources, inclusive of strategic channel partnerships, conferences and events, advertising/display, white papers, SEO/SEM, website, webinars, direct mail, social media, email, etc. This effort will help build a pipeline of qualified leads that can effectively fuel the growth agenda for GRAIL in the Life Insurance channel. While insurance will be the primary channel, there will be emerging channels this role will also support as they unfold.
  • Customer Journey – Responsible for ensuring there is clear and consistent alignment between GRAIL’s fundamental brand promise, and the experience the Company creates and delivers to customers, day-to-day. This Marketing senior manager will be an important contributor to the Enterprise Marketing team.  This senior marketing manager will report to the Associate Director, Employer and Life Insurance Marketing and partner with our CX team to help define, map, and enhance the overall life insurance customer experience and journey, by ensuring that GRAIL delivers value at each and every critical touch point. This effort will drive satisfaction, retention and referrals to other prospects. This role will represent the ‘voice of the customer,’ ensuring their needs are addressed by Marketing, CX, Product and Sales colleagues inside GRAIL.
  • Measurements, Attribution & KPI’s – With input from other Marketing partners, develop channel metrics and corresponding benchmarks to assess value through analytics, measure success, and recommend campaign optimization based on results. Partner closely with Research/Insights and Sales to understand the needs of these agent and member stakeholders. Oversee multi-variant testing analytics to assist in the delivery of exceptional customer experiences, new product launches, personalization, and general communications.
  • Marketing Budget – Ensure responsible, timely spending against established annual operating budgets which encompasses external GRAIL programs, agency fees, media spending, G&A, etc. This includes tightly managing both the direct Marketing budget, as well as effectively influencing how Sales allocates and deploy their pursuit dollars. Ultimately, success will be measured in terms of CPA (for each new corporate customer), and the longer-term LTV (which will rely on driving satisfaction and retention).

Your background should include:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent; MBA a plus.
  • Demonstrated success marketing a solution to commercial partnership groups in prior roles. 
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in partnerships, customer success, business development, or B2B marketing in healthcare.
  • Insurance industry experience is a plus
  • Strong understanding of key stakeholder roles and existing network of contacts at health systems and/or health plans.
  • Experience with effectively communicating to customers, particularly with c-suite or executive levels
  • Experience with digital marketing preferred.
  • Proven ability to collaborate and work cross-functionally to drive results in a matrixed, fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated track record of getting things done and growing responsibility over time.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple competing priorities.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, analytical, communication and presentation skills.
  • Willing and able to travel as needed.
