How you will Achieve More with Intellia:

We areseekingan experienced Alliance Management professional to join the team! In this role, you willserve as a key interface between Intellia and its scientific and corporate partners. You will help to enable both parties to realize the full potential of each alliance. You will work with prospective, new, and existing partners to ensure that Intellia and each partner achieve the goals, coordinating across both organizations to meet both the letter and the spirit of the alliance governance provisions. Additional role responsibilities include:

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive knowledge of each contract to ensure all parties are adhering to their obligations including generation of scientific data, resourcing, finances, timelines, reporting, disclosures, and decision-making

  • While keeping a close eye on the contractual commitments and boundaries, maintain a wider perspective and continually consider the principles, spirit, and long-term goals of the alliance

  • Identify issues and opportunities that are “extra-contractual” and work both in Intellia and with the partner to construct a path forward to address or capitalize on them.

  • Develop and manage external communication plans that will ensure critical information is shared in timely manner

  • Conduct periodic alliance health checks to identify key issues, problem solve and create strategies to address issues and implement solutions

  • Partner with business development to ensure contract language for new alliances represents feasible deliverables for Intellia and for our partners.Partner with business development and legal on alliance renegotiation as opportunities for improvement arise

  • Actively participate in the process and decision-making around the conclusion of alliances when they reach the end of their term or any other termination event.

About You:

Our ideal candidate will have experience in biotech and/or pharmaceutical environments and in alliance management positions. If you have an established track record of successfully managing pre-clinical and clinical stage alliances, as well as the desire and the ability to perform both at a strategic leadership level and in a hands-on capacity, this is the role for you. Additional qualifications include:

  • Thorough understanding of alliance and partnership contracts

  • Strong management and leadership qualities and a demonstrated ability to influence across company lines and functions

  • Understanding of the drug development process and working knowledge of the essential activities for all key functional areas.

  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, including specifically, the skills needed to manage difficult conversations and interactions as they arise

  • Ability to work with scientific team members at all levels

Meet your future team:

This role reports to the Senior Director of Alliance Management and works with other members of the Business Development & Alliance Management Team as well as the Strategy & Portfolio Management Team. You will join a group of passionate individuals who enjoy working with each other. The BD & AM and the Strategy & Portfolio Management teams report to the CBO.

The team currently contains both hybrid and remote employees. While we don’t require you to be local to the Cambridge MA office, if local we do offer the flexibility to work from home or in the office. Although in a partially virtual environment, the organization has made it a priority to continue to foster a sense of community among the group. You can expect to join a passionate, hardworking and collaborative environment.
