Adaptive Phage Therapeutics (APT) is a clinical-stage biotech advancing therapies to treat multi-drug resistant infections. We are on a mission to address today's — and tomorrow's — toughest infections. We are looking for intelligent and motivated people to help us reach those goals. We are currently seeking a Manufacturing Associate to join the Biobanking team at APT. The candidate will work within the Biobanking Department and may also have opportunity to work across other manufacturing departments.

Responsibilities

  • Propagate, cryopreserve, and catalogue bacterial cell and bacteriophage lines under approved standard operating procedures (SOPs) and manufacturing batch records.
  • Perform phage susceptibility testing under approved SOPs.
  • Document and receive bacterial cell lines from third parties.
  • Document and ship bacterial cell and bacteriophage lines to collaborators.
  • Prepare analytical lab reports or summaries.
  • Document all manufacturing activities clearly and accurately per cGMP, QMS, and regulatory requirements.
  • Adhere to current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), Good Documentation Practices (GDP), Biological Safety Level-2 (BSL-2), and aseptic technique in all Manufacturing/Laboratory processes.
  • Routinely monitor manufacturing processes and recognize potential process issues as they arise; proactively escalate identified issues to supervisor.
  • Ensure continued flow of production activities by assessing raw material and growth media availability and obtaining materials if low on stock.
  • Maintain a clean working environment including participation in a regular laboratory cleaning schedule per established cleaning SOPs.
  • Open-mindedness on learning new methodologies and skills rapidly while maintaining critical thinking to improve processes and documentation
  • Other duties as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in biology, biochemistry, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in a laboratory setting focused on microbiology, molecular biology, and/or bacteriophage biology.
  • Outstanding organizational, attention to detail, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Scheduling flexibility to accommodate varying manufacturing schedules.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
  • Full COVID-19 vaccination required; APT employees are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 to work on the premises.
