How you will Achieve More with Intellia:

We are looking for a Senior Manager, Tax and Financial Reporting to join our growing Finance team. In this role, you will be primarily responsible for Intellia’s various tax-related areas, and additionally other technical accounting, financial reporting and internal control efforts. You will play a key role working collaboratively across the Finance team and the Company to oversee all tax compliance work, work with third party tax vendors on various company compliance initiatives, assist with financial reporting requirements and assess and provide tax insights for new contracts and provide insights to senior leadership. Additional responsibilities include:

  • Review new contracts and assess for future tax consequences, with a focus on collaboration arrangements and intellectual property licenses

  • Manage third party tax vendor and lead all compliance related activities including tax provision, federal and state tax returns

  • Identify and propose tax solutions for new or uncommon business transactions

  • Support and adhere to strong internal control policies and procedures, identifying areas for improvement

  • Liaise with external auditors. Support financial audits including preparation of items specific to assigned areas

  • Assist in establishing and maintaining policies, best practices and procedures

About You:

We are looking for a team player to join our group, someone who can work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. A Degree in Tax or Accounting with corporate tax and accounting experience.   • Biotech / Life Sciences experience either in industry or exposure by public accounting

  • A strong work ethic and focus on meeting critical deadlines

  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communications skills

  • Proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint


Meet your future team:

This role reports to the Director of Financial Reporting and Technical Accounting and works with the other members of the close-knit finance and accounting team. While a small team of three, you will join a group of passionate individuals who enjoy working with one another. Led by the CFO, the broader group is comprised of Accounting, Equity and Payroll, Procurement, IT, FP&A, Investor Relations, Corporate Communications, and Facility Operations.


Currently, we have team members in both hybrid and remote capacities, so we will not require you to be local to our Cambridge, MA office. Although in a partially virtual environment, the team has made it a priority to continue to foster a sense of community among the group.
