How you will Achieve More with Intellia:

As a Laboratory Operations Technician you will be responsible for the maintenance of equipment in a large and diverse Research and Development laboratory spread over three sites. This will involve coordinating with multiple R&D groups, Facilities, EHS, IT, QA, Security, and external suppliers efficiently to provide timely support and ensure a well-maintained laboratory facility. Other responsibilities include:

  • Equipment management, coordinating with onsite vendors and supporting the needs of the research staff
  • Maintaining records in Asset Management system, including new equipment, repair, and preventative maintenance reports
  • Sharing responsibility in equipment monitoring on-call rotation
  • Managing lab work order system and ongoing service tickets
  • Partnering with the Shipping and Receiving Department regarding incoming and outgoing equipment shipments, including transfers between sites
  • Actively supporting policies and procedures to ensure that the efficiency, effectiveness, and safety of the lab complies with federal, state and company regulations and standards
  • Supporting the Lab Manager on materials supply and other general lab needs
  • Supporting glasswash / autoclaving / media prep as needed

Meet your future team:

This role will report to the Associate Director, Operations and join a team of eight full-time employees who bring a range of experience and knowledge to support all the needs of the Intellia Labs. The R&D groups rely on us to have the correct materials on hand and equipment working at all times so they can focus on cutting-edge research. The team is currently working on-site everyday given the nature of the work we perform. You will be joining a group of passionate individuals who enjoy working with one another and who have made a tremendous impact during COVID in keeping our operations moving forward.
