Head of Cloud & Infrastructure Operations

Resilience is hiring a visionary leader to serve as the Head of Cloud & Infrastructure Operations in our Digital (IT) function reporting to the Vice President Digital Operations. The role is a peer to the Biomanufacturing Applications leader, the Head of Enterprise Applications (ERP, systems for corporate functions), our Head of End User Services & Adoption, and several other roles related to delivery of technology services to support manufacturing. The role will be accountable for hiring and managing a global team that provides 1/ foundational services: compute, storage, network, and data center to our various sites and functions 2/ cloud (AWS) and hybrid cloud providing secure cloud landing zones and infrastructure as code solutions, 3/ Developer Experience team (DevSecOps) supporting our Product teams releasing software with scale and velocity.

Key Duties

Architecture: create and implement evergreen architectures for all supported services evolving them as needed to meet the demands of our business and product teams, evolve on-premises computing and cloud systems reflect uniformity and homogeneity especially with acquisitions and legacy sites.

Software Excellence: amaze your customers who are our internal product teams writing and releasing code with Velocity; oversee providing Quality & Rigor by automating the build of secure cloud landing zones, easy-to-consume software pipelines and tools, and DevSecOps capabilities to keep our production environment safe.

Infrastructure Excellence: Maintain and evolve the local data center operations and associated equipment with special emphasis on hybrid cloud with AWS (Resilience will be the first in biomanufacturing to leverage for its OT environment) at 12 or more locations in North America and future ex-US locations. Lead your teams and services integration with disaster recovery and backup testing for all sites.

Production Support: build proactive and predictive capabilities via great monitoring and telemetry to support 24/7 mission critical response for operational and cyber events to maintain great uptime and transparent operational metrics.

Qualifications

• Experience building and managing teams of cloud, SRE/DevOps, and related infrastructure professionals in a highly regulated environment (biopharma preferred).

• Maintaining productive collaboration with a cutting edge infosec team – ability to move in lock-step with security tooling and philosophy to best secure our platforms.

• Proven excellence running 24/7 mission critical operations in biopharma or similar industry flowing to high severity issues and enabling teams to perform their best in pressing situations.

• Excellent leverage of ITSM processes with an emphasis on ensuring that IT change is compliant with all QA and validation approaches to release and maintain GxP systems with agility.

• Superior knowledge of the cloud and modern infrastructure deployment and management concepts: infrastructure as code, DevSecOps, SRE, AWS, and containers.

• Experience transforming traditional infrastructure by re-imagining data centers, carriers relationships, and other mission critical IT infrastructure.

• Leverage of modern tools such as ServiceNow, CMDBs, predictive maintenance approaches.
