What You Will Achieve

The Manager, PGS Site PX, Communications and Colleague Engagement will work in close partnership with the PX team and business leaders to provide guidance and support to site leaders on HR-related matters and ensure cohesive messaging of programs and processes in alignment with business strategies and HR priorities. This role will partner with the PGS internal communications network to provide cohesive messaging of programs and processes in alignment with business strategies and HR priorities. She/he will be responsible for the development and execution of a dynamic, sustainable, and enterprise-driven strategic communication plan while leading and executing key elements and day-to-day site communication activities.

This role advises and coaches leaders, provide guidance to colleagues and managers while driving execution of annual processes (e.g., talent management, performance management, compensation cycle). This role will coach and support leaders to ensure HR processes and programs are strategically implemented.

How You Will Achieve It

  • Own and execute the site communication strategy, partnering with and influencing key stakeholders to support effective communication of key projects, issues or changes impacting site colleagues

  • Design and implement efficient and effective internal communication practices and processes according to site needs, including, but not limited to digital communication, leadership communication, in-person and town hall meetings, visuals / displays / signage, etc.

  • Develop and edit content for regular and ad hoc site communications needs to a large site of ~3,000 colleagues and contractors, including site newsletters, e-signs, leader communication, FAQs, and other creative modes of messaging to drive colleague engagement

  • Develop strategy for and lead colleague engagement events (e.g., holiday events, colleague appreciation events, etc.) includingcommunity engagement activities and strategy to encourage colleague participation, ensuring alignment with Pfizer corporate volunteering and corporate giving program
    Strategize with leaders on initiatives related to organizational design, talent development, succession planning, culture development and colleague experience at the site.

  • Support operational HR needs for a client group and coach managers on effectively managing colleague performance.

  • Help build manager capabilities to be able to address employee relations issues and ensure a positive and inclusive work environment and experience for all colleagues.

  • Support the execution of the site Diversity, Equity & Inclusion plan.

Qualifications

Must-Have

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • Minimum 5 years of Human Resource generalist experience which included responsibility for some internal communications

  • Must be a strategic thinker with a talent for developing messages, events, presentations and other communications vehicles to drive colleague engagement and experience.

  • Must be experienced in supporting and coaching managers.

  • Solid expertise in HR technical proficiencies and core HR competencies with experience in coaching and driving process improvements

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a matrix team environment

  • Experience managing employee relations matters, and in coaching managers through performance-related issues.

  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and respond back in a timely manner

  • Project management, facilitation and problem-solving skills required along with strong process skills.

  • A strong sense of business ethics including the ability to appropriately handle confidential information

  • Ability to challenge a manager's perspective when it is in the best interest of Pfizer

  • Ability to learn and understand the business and is motivated to continue learning

  • Demonstrated negotiation and conflict resolution skills

  • Experience in performance management, process management, and coaching

  • Ability to analyze information and provide guidance and solutions

  • Demonstrated business acumen, strategic and innovative thinking

  • Good consulting skills, ability to coach and build strong relationships with different people across the organization

  • Proficiency in MS Office

Nice-to-Have

  • Experience in other aspects of corporate communications including media relations, crisis management and executive positioning.

  • HR working experience in multi-national organization

  • Proven track record of promoting employee value proposition and experience in Change Management or Continuous Improvement

Work Location Assignment:On Premise

NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS

Ability to travel up to 10% to other sites, conferences and other events would be normal and expected. Job may require occasional weekend/evening work supporting a 24-hour/7 day operation.
