What You Will AchieveThe Associate Scientist, Laboratory Operations will be on a team of scientists, assigned to Manufacturing, Science and Technology (MSAT) Central Support group. The Associate Scientist will be responsible for laboratory efficiency programs (e.g. IMEx, 5S, CI Loop), buffer and media preparation, preparing and sterilizing tubing assemblies, stocking laboratory consumables, and maintaining the glass wash area. The Lab Tech III will be accountable for the required training, documentation and technical completion of work as required in a laboratory GLP environment.

- Maintain general and functional area KanBan systems
QUALIFICATIONS
Must-Have
- Associates in Math, Biology or Science with 1 – 3 years relevant experience in a laboratory or manufacturing environment.
- Bachelor of Science with no experience required.
Nice-To-Have
- Pharmaceutical and/or Biotech certification
- Experience preparing pharmaceutical buffers and complex media
- Experience operating various scale pumps, fermentation and/or ultrafiltration equipment
PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
Moderate repetitive standing, sitting, bending, ladder climbing, pushing and lifting (up to 40 lbs) required on a daily basis.
Ability to perform mathematical calculations, follow procedure, complete proper
documentation and learn new processes.
NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS
Monday -Friday coverage via 8 hour rotating shifts (1st and 2nd).
1st 7 am – 3 pm
2nd 11 am – 7 pm
Off shift work as needed
