Job Details

The Contract Analyst is a valued member of the Indirect Procurement Contracts Management Team. Reporting to the Indirect Procurement Contracts Manager, the Contract Analyst will work closely with department team members, including the Indirect Category Managers and the Indirect Procurement Operations Team, to provide a high level of support for contracts management and supplier relationship management. The Contract Analyst understands contract terms, manage and/or build contract templates, and monitors and reports contract escalations and expiration timelines.

A successful candidate will be a talented team player, responsible for providing timely and high-quality guidance on supplier contracts, including template selection and usage, fallback terms and requirements for approval, to Indirect Procurement team members and our associated business partners.  The Indirect Procurement Contracts Analyst will work on several different initiatives simultaneously; this individual will need to demonstrate strong organizational and project management skills to manage competing priorities.  The preferred candidate will have strong interpersonal and communication skills to support the Indirect Procurement team and our business stakeholders.  The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, independently motivated and possess the confidence and ability to interact and collaborate with other Indirect Procurement team members as well as across other business functions. 

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development and maintenance of the Contract Management & Vendor Management process.
  • Understand and interpret contract terms and assists in ensuring that contracts adhere to legal and commercial guidelines and standards
  • Manage electronic document execution via SAP Ariba and DocuSign to authorized signatories across the business and assist in the maintenance of the contract repository.
  • Continuously update new contract data and information in Ariba or other procurement systems, or remediate existing contract data as required
  • Draft and publish supplier communications to suppliers and the internal stakeholders.
  • Aid in the development of KPI based contracting and in the KPI tracking.
  • Develop both standardized and custom analytics tools, dashboards, and reports.
  • Analyze data and provide important visualization and dashboards that clearly communicates complex data in a simple form to non-technical audience
  • Working with Sourcing team members, develop regular business review packages and participate in supplier meetings.
  • Supports teams by assisting with various departmental initiatives and projects.
  • Attend additional training as requested/deemed necessary.
  • Other duties as needed or required to support and advance the Indirect Procurement Team

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or Minimum of 4+ years' experience solving business problems through analytics
  • Strong ability to read/interpret and write/complete/produce documents.
  • Demonstrated experience in facilitating meetings
  • Strong experience in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
  • Experience working as a global team member on cross functional program teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to succinctly summarize key findings and articulate a clear story with data and then translate to marketing/business implications.

  • Applicants must be creative individuals with ability to develop new ideas and creative solutions, as well as demonstrate skill and passion for problem solving and operational excellence
  • Computer skills: To perform the duties of this role effectively, applicants must have advanced Excel knowledge working with large data-sets (utilize complex formulas and can manipulate and transform data).
  • Self-starter: They must be motivated self-starter who can focus on achieving a set goal with limited supervision and have the ability to think ahead, consistently adapt and ensure on time deliverables.
  • Attention to detail, order, and organization.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience in, or exposure to, a wide range of contracts, preferably within a sourcing/procurement organization.
