Senior Manager, Business Operations

Position Summary & Role

Reporting to the Site Lead, the Sr. Manager of Business Operations will support the Resilience Philadelphia site and be a critical member of the site leadership team. This role is responsible for developing and orchestrating key site businesses processes and cross functional leadership activities including strategic initiative management, metrics reporting and analysis, site project portfolio management, and operational excellence.

Job Responsibilities

• Business process ownership and management. Lead the development and management of key business processes and governance activities at the site, working with site and company leaders to ensure effective cross functional management, communication, and delivery of key business objectives.

• Metrics and reporting. Work with site and company leaders to develop and oversee site objectives and operational performance measures. Manage trending, reporting, analysis, and communication processes as well as the interface with the broader Resilience organization. Lead site performance reviews and support the network performance review process.

• Program and project management. Coordinate the execution of critical site projects across all site functions, the Tech Ops Leadership Team and other Resilience manufacturing sites. Work collaboratively with the company’s program management team to ensure alignment of tools and techniques and to enable reporting and analysis of critical initiatives across the company.

• Strategic initiatives. Partner with site leadership and across the enterprise to deliver key strategic initiatives. Lead or participate in business case development and manage execution plans and reporting of active initiatives.

• Operational excellence. The individual will be responsible for the managing Operations Excellence (OE) initiatives at the site. The role will develop and oversee OE initiatives that drive continuous improvement and lean methodologies across the manufacturing site while ensuring alignment with OE efforts throughout the network.

• Operations risk management. Oversee the site’s operations risk management program. Assess, monitor, and report upon key risks to the site’s operational objectives and work with site and network leaders develop and implement mitigations.

Preferred Experience, Education & Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, or Business is required. Advanced degree preferred.

• 10+ years of experience in the life sciences industry in Operations Management, Project Management, Operational Excellence, or related disciplines.

• Demonstrated experience building and leading teams, managing change, and in engaging and motivating people both directly and cross-functionally.

• Excellent program and project management skills.

• Experience leading and facilitating process optimization and process change initiatives. Professional certification in Lean, Six Sigma, or other Operational Excellence methodology strongly preferred.
