What You Will Achieve

This position reports to the Sr. Manager of Business Systems. The Master Data Lead will be accountable for leading a team of professional colleagues responsible for all production systems and various interfaces, supporting development, configuration and leading the delivery of key initiatives and enhancements. This role will be responsible for ensuring master data integrity and maintaining the processes to support the data quality.

This position functionality may include business object modeling within the quality databases & digital core electronic systems. Maintains functionality of Batch Issuance current data models and retirement of required databases/models upon integration into other PFE source quality systems.

This role will also work as catalyst for site Continuous Improvement through initiating and/or leading site projects aimed at improving the areas of production systems, process and data across the site.

How You Will Achieve It
  • Leading a cross functional team to define the McPherson site’s production systems strategy.

  • Ensuring compliance of operations to cGMP, safety and Pfizer integrity principles at all stages of activity.

  • Manage/Lead initiative for ERP business systems, ongoing CI initiatives. Accountable at the site for the pre-work preparation, planning and successful delivery and adoption of the initiative and roll out of assigned projects.

  • Lead, reassess and participate in an agile change environment to enhance the process at intervals to eliminate non-value-added activities.

  • Active in reviewing current configurations and business processes to drive both system and process efficiency improvements and CI efforts.

  • Establish/align business processes, architecture, gaining an understanding of the system to represent and support the site as the system expert.

  • Using data and metrics and business problems identify where enhancements or master data changes are needed, actively working with appropriate stakeholders and Core teams to develop and deliver system adoption, improvements and enhancement requests.

  • Participates in internal & external (regulatory & non-Regulatory) audits as required.

  • Leading the team to develop standard work practices assuring alignment of supporting systems and reports

  • Work closely with site BT to manage system changes; develop system strategy plans and goals, assuring business needs are met.

  • Identify SME’s, coordinate requirements gathering and facilitate system training when system changes are made.

  • Have a complete understanding of data within systems they own.

  • Represent the organization and interact with senior internal and external leadership on matters requiring coordination between organizations as required.

QualificationsMust-Have
  • Bachelor’s degree required in a scientific or technical field, but others may be considered (i.e. Business, Information Systems, Supply Chain, etc.)

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in technologies relevant to data/information management, such as SQL, MDM, Metadata, Data Quality, etc.

  • Experience working with SAP is required, and JDEdwards is preferred.

  • Demonstrated experience with GMP, FDA or other key regulatory bodies.

  • Experience working with business process, system, and data flow modeling/mapping

  • Excellent attention to detail and strong project management, interpersonal, organization, communication (both verbal and written), and problem-solving skills are required. Individual must be flexible and capable of prioritizing projects, meeting deadlines, and working well under pressure.

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret complex problems or processes that span multiple business areas.

  • Identify and understand requirements and develop alternate solutions.

Nice-to-Have
  • Able to take a systems approach and to understand the interaction between Digital core systems/Quality Systems and the various functional department business processes.

  • Proven technical data management experience

  • Quality compliance and investigation skills

  • Leadership and team management experience

NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS

  • Travel should be minimal, but as required
  • May require some after-hours support for emergency requests for batch record issuance and change control approvals.
