The Regeneron Office of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion is responsible for building and leading the company’s global strategy to advance DEI across 3 key pillars: Better Workplace, Better Science and Better World. We do this by collaborating globally and across our business and functions to provide subject matter expertise to deliver world class DEI outcomes. Our DEI strategy enables us to foster our culture of inclusion and belonging, build a workforce that reflects the diverse communities we serve, infuse DEI into all areas of our business to drive innovation and growth and transform talent and business systems to achieve equitable access and outcomes for all.   

  

With this newly created role, we have an opportunity to identify and build strategic diversity partnerships for the company, centered on social equity and research that will help promote Regeneron’s DEI Brand externally, create opportunities to research and build the Regeneron talent / diversity brand (CoQual, Diversity Inc, National Urban League, NAACP, HRC etc.). This role will establish our ‘Better World’ DEI pillar up for success by producing early wins to establish the foundation of this work and have long-term, transformational impact for the business and society.  He/She/They will also be our representative for key external DEI engagements and help establish Regeneron as a differentiated and authentic leader in the space of DEI focused on research & impact on the society. 

The preferred location for this role is at our HQ campuses in Tarrytown, NY with consideration given to other Regeneron sites globally. 

As the Director, Global Diversity Programs & Partnerships a typical day might include the following  

  • Support the CDO and the DEI stakeholders at Regeneron to identify and establish key external diversity focused partnerships with industry associations (PhRMA, BIO, WEF, HRC, NUL), consultants, and partners to share Regeneron’s best practices and learnings alongside the business / function leads 
  • Create and share the partnerships strategy and decision/ governance framework for new requests / existing global DEI partnerships. 
  • Identify and establish new global DEI research and survey partnerships (eg. Aspen,  SODI, RAND, etc.)
  • Establish the Better World DEI Strategic goals and reporting cadence or the company. 
  • Provide guidance under the ‘Better World’ DEI Strategic pillar to shape global ERGs / DEI Councils goals and investments. 
  • Cross-collaborate with HR function leads and business partners, Corporate Communications and Citizenship, Legal, Public Policy/Gov Affairs, Sourcing and other colleagues to ensure high-leverage external partnerships are integrated with core business activities 
  • Lead strategy and execution of our DEI-focused societal engagement, including  building upon existing STEM ed initiatives, to foster a longer term approach to diverse talent pipeline management, equitable communities and inclusive society, while also achieving positive, business results.  
  • Manage relationships with key external partner organizations and act as the central contact point for decisions about which organizations Regeneron will invest for DEI partnerships.
  • Work closely with the CDO and DEI leadership team to promote Regeneron’s DEI brand internally and externally to demonstrate enterprise-wide commitment to DEI 

 
This role might be for you if you:

  • Can build strong collaborative and strategic relationships with key internal DEI stakeholders as well as external partners, organizations, and supplier diversity team to enhance our performance and reputation of the company. 
  • Can lead all change management and internal communication efforts as we develop the critical third pillar of our DEI strategy - BetterWorld. 
  • Are able to think "big picture" and be skilled at public speaking and networking to build partnerships in the communities we serve 
  • Proactively seek out opportunities to partner / sponsor DEI research for topics like gender equity, racial equity and health equity, and collaborate with organizations to create a positive impact
  • Ensure proper time management with competing responsibilities in order to activate impactful partnerships

To be considered for this position you must possess a Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of relevant working experience. Experience in identifying, building and scaling strategic external diversity partnerships. Experience in new partnership development, DEI & social justice strategy. Employee and Diverse Communities Engagement experience.

Preferred experience may include:

  • DEI Strategic planning and network management experience 
  • Proven effectiveness in project management and change management 
  • DEI subject matter expertise 
  • Ability to create a vision for relevant workstreams 
  • Demonstrated ability to build trusted partnerships and influence a diverse range of stakeholders 
  • Ability to quickly build relationships and trust with multiple stakeholders 
  • Adaptable and flexible to evolving priorities and changing situations 
  • Ability to assess scalability and viability of all new ODEI initiatives 
  • Ability to integrate DEI topics across business issues 
  • Ability to manage multiple non-connected projects and prioritize time/activities 
  • Digital literacy and high degree of learning agility
