  • Responsible for providing the analytical support needed for developing and measuring team metrics, internal spend and savings, external supplier financials and information, market and economic dynamics and procurement processes

  • Supports the PBG North America Procurement Team in the evaluation of business opportunities, supplier capabilities and sourcing solutions

  • Collaborate with category strategy managers, regional and market procurement colleagues

  • Be an articulate communicator with effective interpersonal skills, engaging with S&ES colleagues, stakeholders and supplier contacts as necessary

  • As assigned, execute Category Strategy, Sourcing and Negotiation and/or Supplier Relationship Management activities as outlined


I - Category strategy collaboration and operational implementation:

  • Support the analytical requirements defined by the S&ES reporting line, including but not limited to:

    • Data gathering (internal and external) including Business requirements

    • Market and supplier analysis

    • Data management or treatment and interpretation

  • Work with internal functional experts, suppliers, and, at times consultants, to define, implement and document various procurement team strategies and operational improvement efforts

  • Develop well-rounded industry knowledge in various marketing agency subcategory groupings including but not limited to creative, digital and public relations

II - Sourcing activity and contract negotiation:

  • Support S&ES Colleagues, as needed, in sourcing events, including supplier due diligence activities to determine alignment with Pfizer requirements and partnership prospects for the longer term

  • Track and resolve project issues and concerns related to sourcing and operational initiatives. Create key sourcing documents (RFXs) and build expertise in the utilization of ARIBA eSourcing

  • Take ownership for delivering end to end sourcing activity for appropriate complexity projects to build knowledge of the sourcing process, tools and skills

III - Supplier relationship management:

  • Support S&ES Colleagues in delivering effective supplier performance management including the utilization and compliance to the Pfizer SRM process

IV - Client engagement and customer relationship management:

  • Support S&ES colleagues in managing the internal relationships with the Business stakeholders

  • Build a strong network of functional contacts, across GBS, to enable optimal execution of your responsibilities and operational requirements of the team

  • Engage with your counterparts in other S&ES teams to share knowledge and best practice

V - Business process and compliance:

  • Support project office activities to assure tasks are executed among team in quality and timely manner

  • Maintain a current knowledge of available information databases and emerging tools and technology that will best support the procurement and operational initiatives

  • Support the Ariba PO approval process and compliance role for Media and Marketing Agencies requisitions

  • Ensure that procurement SharePoint sites are properly managed and maintained or created if needed

VI - Reporting:

  • Produce data analysis reporting in Decideware and SAP for use by Procurement colleagues

  • Coordinate quarterly financial dashboard reporting activities for senior Procurement and Business stakeholders

  • Provide compliance reporting against policy, processes, systems and suppliers

  • Prepare discussion content (summary level or detail level) as needed for team meetings, stakeholder discussions, and sourcing events

Must-Have ​​

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business discipline, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or other related field is preferred

  • Broad knowledge of finance and accounting; excellent analytical skills

  • Experience managing multiple tasks, competing priorities and conflicts; producing value added results

  • Experience with problem solving situations; includes approaches used, tools, tactics used; managing for effective outcomes

  • 0 - 3 years relevant experience

  • High competency with analytical and reporting tools (including MS Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word, Project)

  • Fundamentals of Project Management

  • Understanding of analytical models and techniques


  • Related work experience in Procurement or Finance
