What You Will Achieve

Working with a dynamic team of Logistics and Supply Chain experts, you will play a critical role in the activities involved with the efficient movement of material from receiving or the warehouse to production or any other department. Your role would include planning, developing material requirements, scheduling, and managing material movement with purchasing, warehouse, and Production or R&D.

As a Senior Associate, your knowledge and skills will contribute towards the goals and objectives of the team. Your ability to meet team targets will help in completing critical deliverables on time. Your innovative use of tools and techniques will facilitate as you manage communication between different teams will help in solving difficult issues and establishing consensus.

How You Will Achieve It
  • Contribute to the completion of projects and manage own time to meet agreed targets and develop plans for activities on own projects.

  • Assure necessary change controls are initiated and implemented.

  • Assist in the development and implementation of a warehouse master plan.

  • Plan and schedule the day to day receipt, sampling and dispensing of materials for the manufacture of Drug Product and packaging operations.

  • Create and manage purchasing requisitions.

  • Works with local functions to define an appropriate action plan to address the inspection/audit observation.

  • Follow and assure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (also cGMP) standards, Pfizer Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), policies along with all applicable worldwide regulations and guidelines.

  • Ensure accuracy in the demand forecast and supply plan through regular interaction with Manufacturing, Operations, Suppliers, Analytical, Quality and other partner groups.

  • Coordinate annual department SOP updates and perform investigational activities (to include within quality system).

  • Manage deviation reporting and identifying relevant corrective actions.

  • Onboard new colleagues and support their development.

Qualifications

Must-Have

  • HS diploma and 3+ years of experience with packaging component materials of construction (e.g. resins, glass, elastomers) as they relate to drug delivery systems.

  • Proficient with computer systems such as SAP/Ariba, Document Management System,

  • Excellent team building skills

  • Strong work ethic and driven to identify and implement process improvements

  • Spotfire, SharePoint, Databases and Microsoft Office Applications

Nice-to-Have

  • BA preferred

  • Relevant pharmaceutical experience.

  • Ability to multitask and be organized while operating in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to build, understand and improve complex processes

  • Effective written and oral communication skills

  • Capably of managing own time and workload, accountable for self-results

NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS

  • The position is an “on site” role, successful candidate will be expected to work out of the Groton, CT Site

  • Occasional US and European travel may be required. Duration: 1 day - 2 weeks

  • Possible exposure to operational chemical warehouse environment requiring PPE

  • Relocation support available
