Biotransformation Scientist, Pharmacokinetics and Drug Metabolism,
What you will do
Lets do this. Lets change the world. In this vital role you will work in a team environment to characterize the absorption, distribution, metabolism, excretion and pharmacokinetic properties of therapeutic drug candidates to achieve their full pharmacological potential. PKDM works in close partnership with disciplines such as medicinal chemistry, pharmacology, toxicology, pharmaceutical sciences, clinical pharmacology and regulatory to design promising clinical therapeutic candidates, conduct preclinical development studies, support clinical evaluation and contribute to IND and NDA filings.
Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Profiling and identifying drug metabolites in in vitro and in vivo biological matrices using HPLC with high resolution mass spectrometry.
Characterizing metabolic soft spots, describing drug metabolism pathways, and identifying enzymes involved in biotransformation.
Contributing to SAR analysis and integrating metabolism information to guide drug design.
Designing and implementing ADME in vitro assays and strategies to support the discovery and development of small molecules and other new modalities.
Assisting in new technology evaluation, strategies, and data processing implementation

Doctorate degree OR
Masters degree and 4 years of scientific experience OR
Bachelors degree and 6 years of relevant experience
Hands on experience in metabolite identification by LC-MS/MS and determination of biotransformation pathways of small molecules or other novel modalities.
Good understanding of organic chemistry and reaction mechanisms.
Working knowledge of drug metabolism enzymes, enzyme kinetics and clearance mechanism.
Good writing and verbal communication skills.
