We are currently searching for a Laboratory Technician to drive and pick up samples from/near Baltimore, make cell cultures, dissect tissues, maintain inventory and create purchase orders. This is a part-time, on-site opportunity in Bethesda, MD.  

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Prepare cell cultures.
  • Perform primary cell culture techniques.
  • Ensure that supplies and consumables are ready and on hand as necessary for maximum efficiency in the laboratory.
  • Work with staff on maintenance of lab materials .
  • Maintain inventory system and sample storage according to outlined guidelines.
  • Maintain, clean, and prepare lab instruments for cell cultures.
  • Maintain and clean laboratory.
  • Collect receiving and packing slips and track supply orders.
  • Maintain inventory and order lab materials when needed.
  • Learn and perform basic techniques and procedures.
  • Operate commonly used equipment.
  • Collect and prepare samples for use.
  • Prepare cell cultures and dissect tissues.
  • Assist with preparing cell culture.
  • Prepare materials and equipment for experiments.
  • Clean and sterilize laboratory equipment such as glasses, metal instruments, sinks, tables, and test panels.
  • Monitor and inventory routine laboratory supplies; ensure that supplies are stocked and organized.
  • Plan and organize requests for basic and extraordinary laboratory needs for supplies and consumables.
  • Ensure that supplies and consumables are ready and on hand as necessary for maximum efficiency in the laboratory.
  • Order and maintain laboratory supplies, reagents, and equipment.
  • Minimal maintenance of lab equipment.
  • Perform a variety of laboratory techniques and procedures.
  • Monitor equipment performance and maintenance schedules.

Requirements
