Job Description

The Cell Therapy Account Manager (CTAM) will be responsible for driving appropriate utilization of Kite's CAR T therapies within accounts and ensuring the delivery of a seamless customer experience across the stakeholder groups. The role is currently focused on YESCARTA, but includes promotion of the Kite CAR T portfolio in Canada.

Activities will span across a broad range of stakeholders at the accounts, with the CTAM acting as lead on coordination of tactics, to ensure successful partnership at both the referral and treatment levels. This will include assessing, cultivating and managing professional HCP relationships within targeted hospitals, as well as working cross functionally to ensure the successful utilization of YESCARTA.

The treatment delivery within this territory will occur in Hamilton. Ideally this this candidate is based in reasonable proximity to this center. The CTAM is accountable for understanding the patient pathways into this treatment center and managing the key referral accounts, including development and execution of strategic account plans that drive differentiation, process efficiencies and growth. This CTAM will work closely with their Ontario based team-mates to ensure a team approach on the Ontario and Atlantic business with goals of ensuring optimal care for YESCARTA patients and continued establishment of Kite, as the leader in cell therapy.

The Role:
  • Responsible for identifying and routinely meeting with appropriate stakeholders across academic institutions and additional identified accounts to educate on Kite product portfolio and lgistically support the utilization of the therapy.
  • Serve as the primary commercial point of contact for targeted hospitals and collaborate with colleagues to create a streamlined, organized interface between account stakeholders and colleagues.
  • Navigate complex account environments and understand the needs/issues of various stakeholders at all levels within the account and find solutions to address these needs/issues.
  • Collaborate with cross functional team and Assoc Dir of CTAMs to develop and implement strategic account plans with regular analysis on opportunities for business growth.
  • Collaborate and regularly communicate with colleagues in Market Access, Quality, Marketing, Medical Affairs and Case Management.
  • Maintain clinical expertise in basis principles of Hematology and Immunology, Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma Disease and Treatment, Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation and build a strong understanding of Cell Therapy.
  • Actively gain customer insights and provide timely follow-up on commitments and requests.
  • Operate in compliance with all Canadian laws, regulations and policies that govern the conduct of cell therapy activities.
  • Develop significant business relationships with KOLs, account level leadership including the C-Suite, as well as other decision makers and key stakeholders.
  • Provide Medical Affairs and cross-functional teams with appropriate feedback and insights from interactions with healthcare professionals (HCPs)
  • Provide support at professional meetings, including staffing exhibits, reporting on scientific sessions and facilitating meetings with TLs.
  • Represent Kite at national and international conferences and exhibitions.
  • Facilitate and provide timely feedback to appropriate management regarding account business trends, changes in the therapeutic landscape, industry issues and business opportunities.
  • Cultivate relationships and actively participate in grassroots advocacy/engagement activities within territory to align with National initiatives outlined by the Assoc Dir of CTAMs.
  • Lead and coordinate the work to achieve CAR-T certification status, where applicable.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to all targeted key accounts.


Critical Competencies:
  • 3-5 years of hematology experience
  • MBA or other related graduate-level degree is preferred
  • Proven track record of high performance, embodying a “can-do” attitude.
  • Demonstrated ability and desire to provide unprecedented customer support across stakeholder groups
  • Possess a long-term, strategic understanding of the hematology/oncology market
  • Commitment to be a contributing member of a high performing team where individual and team success align
  • Experience executing with products/therapies that require complex customer delivery, including logistics management
  • Ability to successfully work and collaborate with field-based and internal cross-functional partners
  • Strong business acumen and ability to evaluate and apply data to inform decision making
  • Experience managing and executing in large accounts, including strategic planning, problem solving and conflict resolution
  • Launch experience within hospitals segment
  • Working knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills
  • Outstanding written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated initiative and willingness to work hands-on with a sense of urgency, in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Some overnight travel
