Who You Are

We have an exciting opportunity to have an Associate Director, Financial Systems join our team! This individual will drive the strategy, architecture and solutions for financial data analysis and insights that will enable BridgeBio as a data-driven organization. The right candidate will have relevant experience in supporting financial systems, system integrations, and delivering reliable, scalable, and adaptable data which can help the business derive insights to make real-time decisions. In addition, the ideal candidate will support the preparation of monthly/quarterly financials and routine forecasting processes. 

Responsibilities
  • Provide oversight, maintenance, and administration of Adaptive Insights, the BridgeBio financial planning system
  • Ensure Adaptive Insights' proper integration with other systems includes, but is not limited to: Coupa Procurement, BambooHR, SAP ERP, PowerBI, Tableau, or other visualization tools
  • Utilize external consultants, as needed
  • Collaborate with FP&A leadership to understand priorities to help develop data strategies
  • Partner with IT departments and Accounting to maintain proper data source capture, warehousing, and reporting
  • Support monthly/quarterly/annual reporting of OPEX and Cash performance for the organization including monthly cash reporting and dashboarding, quarterly budget vs actual reporting for affiliates, quarterly budget vs actual reporting for a consolidated portfolio of affiliates, and annual/semi-annual, forecast for all affiliates and functions
  • Continue assessing process and tools to seek further improvements
  • Provide training on financial system processes and concepts to department heads as necessary
  • Prepare and provide documentation for auditors, as needed
  • Maintain compliance and training documentation and requirements for assigned areas, as needed

Education, Experience & Skills Requirements
  • Biopharma and/or Biotech Finance or IT experience
  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role in the biotech space
  • Good business judgment and a solid understanding of clinical trial accounting
  • FP&A/management accounting background is a plus
  • Public Accounting experience is a plus
  • Working knowledge of GAAP
  • Experience operating within a Sarbanes-Oxley control environment 
  • Prior experience with Financial Planning System administration, Adaptive Insights experience strongly preferred
  • Ability to meet deadlines, multi-task, and work under pressure to ensure a timely close without sacrificing quality
  • Strong organization and time management skills
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills with the ability to work independently
