About the Role:

The Operations Intern will support general operations team needs across our research business model which includes early translational research product science, clinical operations, sales and marketing functions. The intern will work closely with and support the Project Management, Study Feasibility, and Medical Records teams.  This role will report into our Project Management & Medical Records team.

Primary Responsibilities:  

  • Liaise with Project Management, Study Feasibility, and Medical Records teams to ensure prioritization of tasks is reviewed
  • Assist with patient data entry needs
  • Shadow medical records team to understand workflow and patient consenting
  • Organize patient documentation and medical records details.
  • Organize shared drives and secure documentation filing
  • Collaborate with the Project Management team to review study requirements and patient needs.
  • Submit medical record requests to clinics and follow requests through to receipt
  • Submit requests for redacted medical records to external vendor and follow requests through to receipt
  • QC redacted medical records to ensure redaction of personal health information was removed correctly
  • File medical records in accordance with Sanguine operating procedures
  • May assist in reviewing medical record related invoices for accuracy
  • Assist other departments with special projects
  • Data analysis and monthly roll-ups
  • Communicate with a sense of urgency

Position Requirements:

  • Currently working toward a degree in Life Sciences and/or Finance (Biology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Biotech, Accounting, Finance, Business etc.)
  • Strong work ethic
  • Ability to work remotely, independently and in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent professional writing and communication skills
  • Highly organized; ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently
  • Exceptional math/analytical skills
  • Experience with MS Office and Google G Suite preferred
