Adicet Bio, Inc is a clinical stage biotechnology company discovering and developing allogeneic gamma delta T cell therapies for cancer. We are advancing a pipeline of “off-the-shelf” gamma delta T cells, engineered with chimeric antigen receptors (CAR) and T cell receptor-like antibodies (TCRL), to enhance selective tumor targeting, facilitate innate and adaptive anti-tumor immune response, and improve persistence for durable activity in patients. Our approach to activate, engineer and manufacture allogeneic gamma delta T cell product candidates derived from the peripheral blood cells of unrelated donors allows us to generate new product candidates in a rapid and cost-efficient manner. SENIOR SCIENTIST / PRINCIPAL SCIENTIST,
PRECLINICAL CELL AND IMMUNONTHERAPY RESEARCH

We are seeking a highly-motivated candidate with a strong background in T cell immunology  to advance pipeline and platform development of our allogeneic gamma delta T cell therapies for the treatment of cancer. The Senior Scientist/Principal Scientist will be part of a cross-disciplinary research team focused on leading the selection of novel candidate chimeric antigen receptors (CARs) and gene-editing strategies to optimize the potency of our gamma delta T cell platform. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in CAR T cell preclinical development.

Key responsibilities:

  • Responsible for identifying and testing novel CAR constructs against antigen targets of interest to advance our gamma delta T cell platform pipeline.
  • Lead strategic and technical development for cell and molecular characterization of gamma delta CAR T cells.
  • Contribute to the establishment of methods to characterize and understand the impact of cell engineering steps on the biology and function of gamma delta T cells.
  • Collaborate on innovative projects across multiple internal departments. Lead the timely execution on projects with external Contract Research Organizations (CROs).
  • Present data to scientists and management at internal and external venues (technical meetings, project team meetings, conferences) and publish in peer-reviewed journals.
  • Ensure high-quality, timely documentation in electronic laboratory notebooks and technical reports, and contribute to regulatory filings.
  • Lead, manage, and provide mentorship and scientific guidance to technical staff.

Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in Immunology, Tumor Immunology, T cell Biology, or related field with a minimum of 5 years industry experience
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in the preclinical development of CAR T cells
  • Experience with immunological assays to characterize T cell phenotypes and functional attributes including, but not limited to, multiparameter flow cytometry, cytokine release assays, and cytotoxicity assays
  • Experience working with viral and non-viral gene-editing methods
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Strong management skills and ability to create, influence, and lead a team
  • Self-motivated, creative, and focused; able to collaborate with colleagues to accomplish project goals

Benefits:

Adicet Bio offers both comprehensive benefits and Paid Time (PTO) plans for employees, which begin on the first day of employment, as well as the opportunity to work in a growing, dynamic environment.

Adicet Bio requires all workers to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, including the booster dose.

Company

Adicet Bio, Inc. is a privately held, pre-clinical stage biotechnology company developing novel universal immune cell therapies based on gamma delta T cells engineered with Chimeric Antigen Receptors.  Adicet is also focused on identifying and validating cancer specific targets directed to the intracellular proteome and then generating T Cell Receptor-like monoclonal antibodies (TCRLs) directed to these cancer-specific peptide targets presented by MHC Class I complexes. These TCRLs are being used to arm T cells or as T cell engagers in solid tumors. In August 2016, Adicet entered into a strategic collaboration with Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, Inc. to develop next-generation engineered immune-cell therapeutics using Adicet's gamma delta T cell allogeneic platform technology.
