Position Description

Sr Director/Executive Director, Market Access is responsible for all aspects of products launched in the managed markets Payer space, including Market Access Strategy. Reporting to the EVP, Market Access, the Sr Director/Executive Director, Market Access, is responsible for creating and leading the international team towards executing upon market access strategies and collaborations (internal and external) across all customer segments, in accordance with compliance policies and guidelines.

Lead the development of a best-in-class Market Access capability, including Trade, Patient Access Services, Account Management, Contracts & Pricing and Market Access Marketing. Develop and communicate internally, the Market Access vision, strategy and goals. Communicate up-to-date and meaningful information and insights regarding market and competitor trends/developments/dynamics and incorporate into Market Access strategies and tactical plans.  Responsible for the efficient and effective implementation of commercial strategies which drive profitable revenue growth.  Ensure preparedness for product launches with comprehensive review of market dynamics, competitor review, distribution and payer channel review, positioning, pricing, financial analysis and performance tracking.  Ensure compliance with all applicable policies, regulations and laws. Establish and maintain relationships with Market Access thought leaders, professional organizations and partner companies. 

 

In addition, the employee must conduct their work activities in compliance with all Urovant Sciences internal requirements and with all applicable regulatory requirements.  Urovant Sciences internal requirements include compliance with ethics and compliance policies, environmental health and safety, financial, human resources, and general business policies, requirements and objectives.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop a comprehensive Market Access brand plan in coordination with the Global Marketing function.
  • Develop and implement International Market Access strategy for Vibegron and other launch products.
  • Serve as the Market Access Lead, responsible for all managed market functions: Contracts & Pricing, Payor Marketing and all external market access customers.
  • Serve as market access lead for the Global Brand Team
  • Lead development and ensure pull through of all access initiatives in collaboration with the Sales Team, distributors and out licensee and other internal functions.
  • Serve as a critical Market Access strategy lead for key meetings/presentations.
  • Strong collaboration and leadership across multiple functions to facilitate and accelerate market access and brand growth.
  • Create and manage a comprehensive launch tactical resource plan and budget.
  • Recruitment and leadership of a talented customer facing Market Access Account Management team (as needed).
  • Execution of all key departmental job responsibilities and launch metrics
  • Develop and communicate internally, the Market Access vision, strategy and goals.
  • Communicate up-to-date and meaningful information and insights regarding market and competitor trends/developments/dynamics and incorporate into Market Access strategies and tactical plans
  • Ensure preparedness for product launches with comprehensive review of market dynamics, competitor review, distribution and payer channel review, positioning, pricing, financial analysis and performance tracking.
  • Develop and maintain GVD, value messages and additional key tools.
  • Drive the development of the International pricing strategy
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable policies, regulations and laws
  • Establish and maintain relationships with Market Access thought leaders, professional organizations and partner companies.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree required, MBA or other advanced degree is a plus.
  • 6-8 years pharmaceutical commercial experience with key experiences operating within the Market Access space and experience leading field-based teams.
  • Experience and knowledge of global market access landscape, specifically US and EU
  • Managed care experience with National and Regional Account Management expertise and senior level relationships in both commercial (private) and government (public) payer systems.
