Job Description

The Manufacturing Process Improvement Analyst is responsible for supporting the planning, execution and closure of cross-functional and process improvement projects. The Project/Process Analyst may participate in project teams as a team leader, team member or as a facilitator depending on the project requirements, resource availability and the individual’s technical expertise.

Main Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Coordinate / track multiple cross-functional projects and process improvement initiatives, driving to completion with measurable results.

  • Support the Project Manager/Project Team in planning, managing, and monitoring major projects from concept through implementation.

  • Perform project management administrative duties. Responsibilities may include: development of Gantt charts, action item tracking, meeting agendas and minutes, developing presentations for management.

  • Serve as a communication channel between Management, Project Sponsors and Project Stakeholders. The ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization is required.

  • Develop expertise and provide support for Project Management related tools/technologies (i.e. Portfolio Management, Resource Analysis, Time Tracking, Lessons Learned Workshops, MS Project)

Position Qualifications and Experience Requirements:

  • Requires a BS/BA degree or equivalent experience; formal Project Management training/education preferred

  • Minimum of 3 years professional experience working with projects, or equivalent experience.

  • Proven organization and interpersonal skills.

  • Effective written and oral communication skills.

  • Ability to influence without direct authority.

  • Able to support multi-functional teams and serve as a strong meeting facilitator with the ability to act as a neutral party.

  • Coaching skills to facilitate knowledge sharing.

  • Consensus builder; problem solving abilities, creativity, efficient time management.

  • Analytical and conceptual thinking.

  • Efficient use of networking.

  • Proven decision-making skills.

  • Understanding of lean manufacturing / Six Sigma concepts.

  • Excellent computer skills required, Microsoft Project experience preferred.
